Hello steemians of the #steemchurch community, I'm sure y'all are having a good 2018 so far and we bless God for that. Before I begin I'll like to appreciate @sirknight for you contributions to the growth of steemit and also for starting the first ever steemit church thus promoting Christianity here on steemit. Today I'll like to share a message with the steem church that I believe will build the faith of all readers include me. I'll be talking about how we can defeat sin by believing we are righteous in Christ.
We struggle with sin everyday because we seem to have forgotten our Identity as children of God, we think we are sinners and because we fail to believe that we have been redeemed we struggle with this sin. But if we see that we have been made righteous not regarding our works , we will be more empowered to live righteously. Believers struggle with sin because they don't believe they are righteous and the first step to defeating sin is acknowledging righteousness. The bible tells us this in 1corinthians 15: 34
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame
This means that the more a believer sees righteousness in himself the more he begins to behave like a righteous person. Right believing always leads to right living.
Luke 6:46
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh
Simply put the life you live today is a reflection of what you have been carrying in your heart. If you want your life to change for good, the answer is not to change your circumstances but it's the changing of your heart and what you believe
For every area of defeat, weakness and failure that you have been experiencing, it has been as a result of some wrong believe concerning it. Christians have been put under constant siege of condemnation from Satan the accuser making them to believe that the Holy spirit convicts believers of their sins, this is absolutely false because the holy spirit is your helper given by God.
Meditate on this and start changing your wrong belief today, believing you have be made righteous by Christ Jesus and you will see a turnaround

the fact that we are born into a world of sin doesn't mean we are of the world, this is what most Christian fail to see
Nice one @langford. As believers of God's word we should follow his ways. Although we are sinners, Christ died for us in order for us to be reconciled with God. If we sin deliberately such reconciliation will not be possible. We should dwell on ways to serve God better.
Yes only people that have totally turned against God enjoy dwelling in sin .. We as children of God face temptations daily but will always seek to do that which is right
Great one mate, we should meditate and correct our ways and beliefs. In order to be saved, we must first save ourself.

We are sinners from birth and we struggle with sin everyday. But Christ freed us from the bondage of sin and offered us a means to salvation and eternal life, we should continue walking the path of righteousness and communicate with God through prayers
By thier fruits you shall know them.
Ride on brother and don't let the faith die .
