Hi @roleerob! Ir is very nice of you to drop by so thank you! 😊
I appreciate almost all products of technology since these are generally for the good of humanity. The only fear I have is when abuse comes in and technology is used to exploit others. I guess that is when technology becomes evil to the eyes of the exploited though it is not really the technology but the human behind the exploitation.
Double dolphin! I can't help smiling. 😊 I wish I can be an orca... STEEM price is rising so I guess that is a good sign. Though I really hope it drops to its price last December so I can buy more before it skyrockets to the moon. 😊
Do you have a Twitter account? We have a movement going on there to spread awareness of STEEM with the hope to invite more investors into the platform and see steem price rising. If you have a Twitter account I can invite you in. If not, maybe it's time for you to have an account. 😊
I hope you are having a great weekend over there! 😊
Yes @macoolette …
… we have the human behind the creation. And the human behind the exploitation … And maybe in our future, the human who will provide a solution to that … The ancient struggle between “good” and “evil” …
Nice to see your enthusiasm. While still active “in here,” I have reached the end of my investment. At least for now. I have the means to be an orca+ via investing, but I need to see some significant improvements in various problem areas before I would even consider it. Against my better judgment, I chose to buy enough when prices were low to become a dolphin. From here, I’ll keep being as supportive as time allows and just earn what I can, when I can …
No, never online myself prior to Steem, I am very unlikely to “expand” my online presence. I prefer to invest my time in the “real world,” with those people in my life long before I had ever even heard of the Steem blockchain. As I have said more than once, “Facetime” is more than an app to me. I have really enjoyed the virtual aspect of “meeting” others all over the world, since it almost certainly would never happen otherwise. More than I could have anticipated. But … I try to keep it in perspective …
Wow, just proofreading what I wrote, before clicking “Reply” … 😧 Sounds a bit negative, I suppose, but it is honest. If I did not see enough positive to offset some of these issues, I would already be gone. It is the association with others like you @macoolette, that keep me going. Hope that helps “balance the load” a bit … 😉
I also hope you don’t mind me being “straight up,” as it is not my intent to discourage you. I would love to be proven wrong, in fact. Hopefully, you and others are well on your way to doing just that! 😉
Well, we have two of our grandchildren with us, so soon to be off into my afternoon with them. Until “next time,” take care “over there!” 😊
I don't mind people being straight about their thoughts for as long as it is not intended to pin anyone down. I think I have seen enough negativity on the Steem platform and the list will be long if I have to itemize all of them. And if I do that, I may be out of here before I finish the list. That is the reason why I chose to shrug off and not to stress over the things that are beyond my control.
I invested on the Steem platform because I thought it is better than just putting money in a bank with pittance interest of 1-3% per annum. The difference though is that I have to work on Steem at least on part-time basis to grow my investment. Either that or I'll let those people hustling to market Steem and hope that they will succeed so I can piggy-back with their success. 😊
Besides the investment, yes, I agree with you about knowing true people like you across the world and getting associated with them. I have learn a lot from you folks and I am sure I will be learning more. 😊
Okay, my "double dolphin" friend, glad to know I can speak freely @macoolette. I prefer candor myself, so I hope you will always feel free to "talk straight" with me, as well!

Cheers to that! 😊
