Steemit can't replace lost passwords so there's not a lot you can do on that front.

If you're concerned about losing your balances you could set up another account and transfer them to that. You should be able to run two accounts from separate browsers to avoid losing access to this one.

Are you absolutely certain that you didn't save the password somewhere?

Is it saved in your browser?
