Wow @ideafarm, first of all thank you for your own radical candor!
I have been on this platform for almost a year now and in my own candor, I work my ass off and I'm tired of the system being broken!
I spend more than most people on this platform do creating my content but you know what? That doesn't leave me much time to support everyone else. I cannot in any way keep up with the demand it requires therefore, my voting power was being left unused.
What did I do? I went to a meet up and talked about the benefits of autovoting and how we NEED to use our votes in order to keep the platform alive. If I don't use my votes, and they sit there, they aren't doing anyone any favors and that is the message behind this post through the fun humorous, entertaining side of things to make sure no one fell asleep at Steemschool.
ALSO
Thank you for pointing out a flaw in the system that didn't occur to me. See, being me, and you may check my profile out all you want. I've been experimenting a lot recently due to the huge hit Steemit is taking and the problems I see happening on the platform...
When I knowingly had whales following me on auto-vote, it made me want to produce better content to prove I was worthy of that support! So you've given me another perspective I never would have even considered since I think the opposite of your view.
You know @ideafarm, there are people on here creating shit posts, that is for sure. Because of those shit posts, posts like mine and countless other creators, are going unnoticed and having systems that are allowed in the coding of the platform (btw) in operation CAN (not necessarily will) help the platform in my opinion (and that's what my blog is, my opinion.)
I'm certainly not NOT participating and I don't think I need to defend that since my activity and interaction prove that enough.
But seriously, thank you for giving me another perspective to consider. I hope you do the same instead of attacking people without a community-minded connection first. :)
I'm in the wrong here. I didn't read your article carefully enough and mistook it for advocating purchasing votes. Now, thanks to your thoughtful reply, I realize for the first time that there is a difference between "vote bots" and "bid bots".
To clarify another issue, I never thought that your post was a "shitpost". You clearly put work into it and the images are funny.
If @reiki would unflag my mistaken post, everyone would more easily be able to see an example of the hazard of firing off an unwarranted rebuke!
