- This is so new and novel that few if any people actually understand its potential
- it has the ability of upvoting people and giving people rewards is really amazing
- steemit gives you that opportunity to earn and if you work hard it can make you a living
- people who wants to be at home and work steemit is the greatest platform for them
- On the blockchain, private and not corporate owned!
- Opportunities to make new friend and new followers and can contact with many people and can ask for their ideas
- Some amazing kind, caring souls here and
- on steemit you can get to know that you can get famous here and you can earn alot of money
- but in my opinion steemit is far more better then anyother platform
Negatives
- There is a pretty big about of spam and sometimes its really hard to find good posts to read on steemit
- Too many bots. Posts older than 7 days can't earn rewards.I've voted for older posts, so was that a waste of vote?
- Hard to connect to people when Introduction posts disappear down the feed.and you cannot text anyone on steemit directly for that you have to send money to talk
- many people are misusing the tags where you cannot find the correct stuff on steemit with some of the tags
- Curation does not work correctly, centralization of voting rewards.

I agree fully with you. Also it seems to me that the high earners have a bit too much power and therefore there is a flow and accumulation at the top of the pyramid. For the new people, even with good posts, it feels a bit like talking to yourself. I guess that will change over time though....

Currently I love steemit because I roam to over all kinds of posts. Use steem chat, a separate site, to talk with many of the users and you can post ads of your content to get better distribution. The name of the game for minnows like us is to find ways to promote ourselves and gain more trust. More trust comes with more money. There are so many paths to gaining trust. I look for giveaways and bot upvotes. I have slowly gained a little through the course of two months, which should really was one month. I did nothing the first month after signup because I did not know steemit and its use. The bottom line is if you are a great writer or can illustrate content that can attract people sooner or later you will be noticed. Best of luck to all steemians.
The concept of steemit is great and part of a wider rebellion of We The People against corporate structures. The amount of money Facebook makes off of content producers is amazing. Remember when the Huffington Post was sold, and it was discovered how little the reporters were being paid versus the value of the company? Crazy!!!! On the negative side, it would really be nice to be able to contact others without posting comments etc. I would also like to have an easier way to identify new followers and be able to edit the following list.
