RE: EOS to build a Competitor to Steemit - Will STEEM survive EOS? (long) 🤔

in #steemit7 years ago

Steemit has be truly destroyed by greed though. There is so much spam and I still frickin don’t understand how all this shit works. Seriously I am not stupid but you have to have a system that works and I don’t think steem is working. The way the voting system is, is horrible. Delegate voting lower bla bla bla. People fighting for votes, down voting to get more votes or what not lol.

"Destroyed" is past-tense and I don't believe that. Steemit is still a great platform although it has many issues. What project doesn't? Self-destruction won't happen overnight, if it happens at all, nor will it happen a week after a competitor is launched. My guess though is that if some of these mounting concerns are not addressed, then like a cancer, it will begin to erode slowly to a point where the participation rate simply dwindles. Those that are paying attention will have quietly powered down already. And the world will move on.
