I finally decided to delegate my Steem Power to see how this works, and to check out how much Daily Earnings I can make. So decided to delegate my 670 (about 1.050$) STEEM POWER to @jerrybanfield , I am following him and I think he is a great guy doing some great work for steemit community. So I decided to delegate to his upvoting bot.
Today I got my first Daily Earnings, and I was a bit disappointed. I received 0.162 SBD + 0.065 STEEM wich total equals to about 0,51 $.
So if I understand these right:
For delegating 670 ($1.050) / I am getting a daily return of about $0,51 Am I suppose to be Happy? I do not know, It is the first time that I delegated my STEEM POWER. But is this ok, is this normal? Making about 1,45% of monthly return?
Before I decided to delegate my steem power I read some posts like these one:
https://steemit.com/budget/@jerrybanfield/new-automatic-daily-payouts-of-60-apr-for-steem-power-delegations
Is there anyone who can tell me if this is ok or normal, or it is better to un-delegate. I do not know maybe I just made the wrong calculation, well I did round up numbers.
Thanks for your comments!

I just post . Find it fun. I know im not gonna make much off doing it . I dont really get very many people that read it . Ive been on since january . My first few post may have 25 of the little eye things . Im guessing thats how many people have read it .
Half my Steemit is delegated, and I don't even know how it happened! I must have clicked the wrong icon, somewhere! I only had 5 years of college, & find STEEMIT is too difficult to understand. I watched 4 or 5 Youtube videos about STEEMIT, but they were all complex methods of exponentially increasing one's steem power and make big profits, but none of them tackled the basics, such as: What the Hell is delegation, and Why ever Do It?
Yeah, same. I have some delegated cause it seemed like something to try out. I’m still learning, so I just make posts and hope for the best!
Hello! I posted a few questions (again!) Maybe I'll get some real pros/gurus who will ENLIGHTEN me! If so, come along. There MUST be some BASIC answers out there! Meanwhile, I'll follow you in case you find out before I do!
I've not used Jerry's service, but I have used some of the resteem services and found that the returns are not what were claimed. It could also be that my content is more cerebral than glitzy images or memes. I guess its just like every other form of advertising. Sometimes the product falls a bit short of the hype. Thanks for trying it out and passing along your experience with it!
I've followed a few but haven't used the service as well. @nunik is courageous enough to see what it'll do to him. And it's good he/she is sharing that experienced with us. So, i read you say the services are not what they claimed to be? So, then, we need to be aware and cautious about what they actually do as a service. I hope it is not so disastrous. :-)
The resteem seems to be pretty good for picking up followers. For that it is better than posting and waiting for something to happen. With that though there still are some noteworthy caveats. Some resteems do not draw the followers that others do. You have to test the waters so to speak.
Yes, I gotcha. For now just commenting and/or resteeming based on the content of an article. Nice to meet you @chuck2u32. I'm sure we'll be seeing around here. :-)
Hi Rogerine,
I went to your introduction post and learned that you are, as am I, a veteran of the US army (Vietnam Class of 1970). There is a veterans group here with @guiltyparties and @shadow3scalpel providing help and support for vets. They will help with resteems and upvotes on your content. @everittdmickey is another vet in Texas that I have some discourse with. The credit for steem here is almost as much for commenting on other people's posts as for your own posts. I have been here only since January, but I am at your service. One word of caution. There seems to be some scamming going on so be careful of the links you click on. They will be in the comments that people leave on your posts. See you around!
Hi Chuck,
Glad to meet you as well. It's nice to know that there some of us here in the platform. We can certainly support each other. I'm happy to hear that. I am of service to you as well. So these veterans you mentioned @guiltyparties, @shadow3scalpel and @everittdmickey can help, so I would need to follow them and they'll follow me back? Thanks for the advice on scams i pretty much try to be on the safe side and so i usually don't click on those. Yes, we'll be seeing around. Thank you Chuck. Glad to meet you.
Thank you for the comment! I have noticed that the people with higher reputations have far fewer people that they are following than are following them. I chose to follow you because you may have content that will benefit my life experience in some way. The reason to keep your number of people you are following reasonable is because whenever they post something you see it in your feed. When I find that they are posting stuff I don't care about I "unfollow" them. You will find people here that just post images using up their 10 post limit. I wrote a post about keep your feed clean of content you are not interested in. Here is a link to it: https://steemit.com/newbieresteemday/@chuck2u32/choose-wisely-who-you-follow
Here is more information to catch you up as quickly as possible I have started posting this in the introduction post of newbies just yesterday.
Links for Newbies:
Hello! I’ve been here since January and wish someone had given me the following links when I made my introduction post. I could have done better sooner.
Steemworld.org is a free service that interfaces with steemit.com and provides a wealth of information about your account. Use your own @handle to access your account information.

If you are coming here to pick a fight be advised that they have a flagging system here that penalizes your account “wallet” for unacceptable behavior. This a post will help avoid problems:

Don’t beg for upvotes or resteems:

One of the biggest mistakes I made was that I was too anxious to get into this platform and did not read ALL of the Frequently Asked Questions: Read the whole thing including the “White Paper”. You will not regret taking the time to learn these important facts:

This is about the slow grind to gain reputation and steem power:

I typically post and resteem articles helpful to new steemians. If you choose to follow me I will be happy to answer your questions.
Good luck and have fun!
By the way, there are a number of services available to steemians that interface with the steemit website. Among the most useful I've found is here: https://steemworld.org/@roger5120
I've put your handle in the link, but you can substitute anyones @handle
Hi again Chuck, alright since you already put my name down does that mean I'm already their follower? Then if I have anybody I want to recommend I'll use the person's username at the end of the url as handle?
correct. steemit.com/@chuch2u32/ is the address to reach my blog. This is Everitt's https://steemit.com/@everittdmickey/
He can be a little surly from time to time, but can help with your learning curve.
maybe you can try smartsteem for better revenue.
https://smartsteem.com/calculator
according to calculation daily payment is about 0.316
I just checked out this calculator and done a bit of rough math...
If you delegate 1000 SP you will earn approx $16 per month. If you then added these profits to your delegated SP, you will almost double your SP in about 3 years time you will be earning about $25 - $30 per month. This is a rough estimate and it also massively depends on the market prices.
Don't get me wrong, these are MUCH better interest rates than you will find with any bank but you're getting this benefit because of the risk your taking.
Unfortunatly, like all things in life... you can make some easy money if you already have money. For example, if you had 125,000 SP (That's one hundred and 25 thousand SP) You would earn the same as a full-time job at the British minimum wage rate i.e £300 per week ($420)
That's how much SP I would need to give up work so that isn't going to happen any time soon.
However, that's because it's expensive to live in the UK. In other parts of the world where $5 a day is a good wage, you would only need 10k SP.
But that doesn't help anyone really because in these countries, it would be just as hard to get 10k SP as it is for me to get 120k SP in the UK.
Anyway, I'm not knocking SP delegation because it is free money but it's not a way to get rich.

Interesting! I have recently read another article, whichs tenor was taking steem leases doesn't pay out. The calculation was, that he was roughly making 75% in additional citation rewards of what delegation has cost him....

Let's assume you are the paid upvote bot. I think your upvote is worthy $0.07. I buy all your upvotes, so on daily basis I get $0.70 on upvote value. That will be $255.5 power year. Which results in APR of 24%. And then I forgot to take curation rewards into account, cause I now have about 25% loss.
I guess this is Pretty close but not a perfect calculation. But it looks like you didn't get any decent calculation so far.

I do not think you are right with that calculation. I think 24% APR becomes new 100% and you need to deduct curation rewords from that 24 %. am I right?
I forgot about the 25% curation rewards to keep it simple. So you should indeed deduct that.
Your other remark/question I don't understand. Are you referring to something like compound interest. Where your upvote value will grow slightly during the year?
hey @nunik your post resteemed by @manikchandsk to over 5900 followers. good luck
