Steemit's missing something - but what is it?

Perhaps you are also old enough to remember the switch from Myspace to Facebook. I do, and I remember it being an easy transition. Everything I wanted from one, I got from the other, and then some. This made the old thing totally obsolete, (although I sometimes wonder if FB wasn't a step up at all).

In any case, when I log into Steemit, it feels like something's missing. Do you know what I mean?

I can't quite put my finger on it either, so I'd actually really appreciate hearing your own experience on this.

It's not the FB games, god I hate them, they're Definitely not what's missing.

I like how much simpler and cleaner Steemit is. I don't miss the clutter and other FB bullshit

Obviously no one misses the corporate aspect of FB, so, what am I missing?

My best guess is it's the 'wall'. When I log into FB I can scroll down and see lots of interested things. -Obviously Steemit has a wall too but it feels completely different. I think it's the way the information's presented. It feels more like a never-ending list of articles I could choose to read. There's nothing short, there's no quick punch lines, and to see other people's comments I have to actually to go the bottom of articles.

I can see how that helps ensure people actually read things before commenting on them, but, those comments are also often exactly what needs to be said. People can't watch or read the article because there's a concept or notion they need to deal with before they're interested. -Which is precisely what they're commenting about when they don't read the article.

Is FB's weakness also its strength?

What can Steemians do,

what do Steemians say?
