I've followed a few but haven't used the service as well. @nunik is courageous enough to see what it'll do to him. And it's good he/she is sharing that experienced with us. So, i read you say the services are not what they claimed to be? So, then, we need to be aware and cautious about what they actually do as a service. I hope it is not so disastrous. :-)

The resteem seems to be pretty good for picking up followers. For that it is better than posting and waiting for something to happen. With that though there still are some noteworthy caveats. Some resteems do not draw the followers that others do. You have to test the waters so to speak.
Yes, I gotcha. For now just commenting and/or resteeming based on the content of an article. Nice to meet you @chuck2u32. I'm sure we'll be seeing around here. :-)
Hi Rogerine,
I went to your introduction post and learned that you are, as am I, a veteran of the US army (Vietnam Class of 1970). There is a veterans group here with @guiltyparties and @shadow3scalpel providing help and support for vets. They will help with resteems and upvotes on your content. @everittdmickey is another vet in Texas that I have some discourse with. The credit for steem here is almost as much for commenting on other people's posts as for your own posts. I have been here only since January, but I am at your service. One word of caution. There seems to be some scamming going on so be careful of the links you click on. They will be in the comments that people leave on your posts. See you around!
Hi Chuck,
Glad to meet you as well. It's nice to know that there some of us here in the platform. We can certainly support each other. I'm happy to hear that. I am of service to you as well. So these veterans you mentioned @guiltyparties, @shadow3scalpel and @everittdmickey can help, so I would need to follow them and they'll follow me back? Thanks for the advice on scams i pretty much try to be on the safe side and so i usually don't click on those. Yes, we'll be seeing around. Thank you Chuck. Glad to meet you.
Thank you for the comment! I have noticed that the people with higher reputations have far fewer people that they are following than are following them. I chose to follow you because you may have content that will benefit my life experience in some way. The reason to keep your number of people you are following reasonable is because whenever they post something you see it in your feed. When I find that they are posting stuff I don't care about I "unfollow" them. You will find people here that just post images using up their 10 post limit. I wrote a post about keep your feed clean of content you are not interested in. Here is a link to it: https://steemit.com/newbieresteemday/@chuck2u32/choose-wisely-who-you-follow
Here is more information to catch you up as quickly as possible I have started posting this in the introduction post of newbies just yesterday.
Links for Newbies:
Hello! I’ve been here since January and wish someone had given me the following links when I made my introduction post. I could have done better sooner.
Steemworld.org is a free service that interfaces with steemit.com and provides a wealth of information about your account. Use your own @handle to access your account information.

If you are coming here to pick a fight be advised that they have a flagging system here that penalizes your account “wallet” for unacceptable behavior. This a post will help avoid problems:

Don’t beg for upvotes or resteems:

One of the biggest mistakes I made was that I was too anxious to get into this platform and did not read ALL of the Frequently Asked Questions: Read the whole thing including the “White Paper”. You will not regret taking the time to learn these important facts:

This is about the slow grind to gain reputation and steem power:

I typically post and resteem articles helpful to new steemians. If you choose to follow me I will be happy to answer your questions.
Good luck and have fun!
Thanks Chuck. I liked everything you say here. And I did check my account at https://steemworld.org/@roger5120 i need to learn and study it though. They looked like spreadsheet detailing your account. I need to understand what they mean and how they work. I will further check out the ones you mentioned here. I've already followed those other veterans. Thanks for giving me a heads-up about the one in Texas. We all can be surly at times based on our mood :-) Alright Chuck, I'll talk to you later.
You are welcome! Again, thanks for the comment and upvote!
By the way, there are a number of services available to steemians that interface with the steemit website. Among the most useful I've found is here: https://steemworld.org/@roger5120
I've put your handle in the link, but you can substitute anyones @handle
Hi again Chuck, alright since you already put my name down does that mean I'm already their follower? Then if I have anybody I want to recommend I'll use the person's username at the end of the url as handle?
correct. steemit.com/@chuch2u32/ is the address to reach my blog. This is Everitt's https://steemit.com/@everittdmickey/
He can be a little surly from time to time, but can help with your learning curve.
Yeah, i followed him already. That's alright I will try to understand, we can be grumpy at times. Yes, I'm sure there's plenty I can learn from him too.
