Google is a world leader in artificial intelligence and its not a fluke - Google has generated some of the world's largest datasets. Immense and deep datasets are the key to Deep Learning, a methodology for analyzing and categorizing patterns. Deep learning is artificial intelligence, an intelligent algorithm that teaches itself. Deep learning doesn't just analyze and categorize patterns, each time it detects a pattern it remembers it by storing it in a neuron. These neurons are not like the ones in your brain, they're more like a cell in a spreadsheet like Excel. Over time the process of training these deep neural networks leads to what we call a ANI (artificial narrow intelligence.)
Google also has benevolently open sourced one of the crown jewels of its entire company; Tensorflow. They also maintain some very large, free, public dataset databases for utilizing machine and deep learning technologies.
ANIs are famous because they sort cucumbers. Lots and lots of interesting cucumber stories mmm hmmm https://cloud.google.com/blog/big-data/2016/08/how-a-japanese-cucumber-farmer-is-using-deep-learning-and-tensorflow
So heres the ticket! Steemit is in a position to compete with Google and Facebook in a real way, even the analytical details of how people do things on here, what they create etc is valuable for training AI. Much the way Facebook is a world leader in AI because of the massive amount of data it has generated and maintained so too can Steemit get its share of this emerging market. Because the mechanics of the platform are unique the very way we are interacting and engaging with each other is some of the most valuable research thats taking place in the world today - thats my opinion.
So how are you going to engage your community here on @steemit ? How are you going to maximize the benefit to yourself, your neighbors, friends and even rivals? Every interaction every conversation you engage here on steemit, each one has the potential to change your life, you could get rich or exposed for your talents. You could be contributing to a growing dataset that we can leverage and monetize as a community in the future. Is that a troll? Or is it a whale-troll?
So I want to talk about the future; as always. How are we as a community of developers, socialites, gamblers and good folks going to plan for the future? Steemit is essentially a social money game. As time goes on that will become very pronounced with dApps. How can we tilt the future of steem dApps to maximize the communities ability to create useful valuable datasets? Could we build games that rely on content creation and subsequently use the upvotes(etc) to determine its value within a learning set? In essence Steemit's constant supply of clicks and engagement can be a machine for training artificial intelligence and thats worth a chat!
