I lived there for a couple of years and that's the best way to learn a language. The problem was that so many people spoke good English. It's a pretty logical language compared to some, but still tricky. I've been using Duolingo to get some practice. I'd like to learn something else. Maybe Japanese or Russian.

I learned a little hiragana and katakana, but when you get to kanji, you really need to practice daily. Otherwise you just forget. But it's a beautiful language.
