Finally! With only less than 5 days left before this season ends, thank goodness I've climbed at least 1 rank and is now guaranteed with 26 reward edition cards!!! Yayyy! XD
I'm not gonna lie though, I am now starting to lose interest with this game, Sorry! XD When this game was first released I really had high hopes for it as the game mechanics is more or less similar to one of my favourite mmorpg game everrr: Pockie Pirates.
Although their similarity with SteemMonsters is mostly only on the "turn based strategic battle" part, I really thought that after a half-a-year to a full-year there would be more interesting stuffs that's in store for players.
Instead all we got from them are new classification of reward cards (reward edition cards instead of beta packs as rewards for DQ's and season end), more new cards and now a tournament-type system which I would also be excited if only I had a good fully leveled-up cards. XD
As a small player, I think there's no point in joining tournaments because I really do think that I would just immediately lose in the first round or two. Lol
I did see many novice to gold summoner limit tournaments though to which I think I have a chance of winning but "meh" I'm just not feeling it.
It would be cool if they would add a "campaign" or solo quest in the game and also be rewarded for doing it. I remember when this game was still in it's early stages there were many posts about how the story would progress. They even had a World Map of SteemMonsters before, so I thought there would be a campaign mode or something but it seems like I'm the only one who loves that kind of stuff?! :)
Don't get me wrong though, I still like the game but I am just not feeling it "like that" anymore. (You get me?! XD) . I described the game as a somewhat "turn based strategic battle" but in all honesty there is little "strategy" involved and it mainly comes down to investment-involved (leveling up cards) and to the RNG Gods.
And noo, this is not about how the SM cards have now dramatically decrease in market value (well partially?! XD) but truth be told I don't really mind spending real money into a game (and don't even expect to profit from it) as long as I find the game entertaining and addicting.
Having said all that, I'm still gonna continue playing SteemMonsters but will only focus more on completing my DQ's. I even got a gold foil Javelin Thrower today which is world $1.1USD in the market! (Not selling though as I love this card) XD
