Yes, a lot of change- I have been adding to my stash since I first read your posts.
I wanted to share this information- I went to a retirement/education dinner last night at a local restaurant. The gentleman was local with his own financial business- pushing trusts, stretch IRA'a, and fixed annuities. He did not mention hyperinflation, the US bond crater, re-set, or cryptocurrencies.
During the dinner he was rounding for questions; I asked him why he did not mention QE, US bond redemption acceleration, hyperinflation, cryptocurrencies, etc.
His reply was that none of these people in the audience would have no idea about what he was talking about. Sadly, he was right when I spoke with the participants at my table who were a engineer, nurse, and paralegal. None of them had heard about QE, etc.
It's rare that I bring up my P.C. Theory around People... Pocket Change seems to be the least of their Worries... It's so Worthless to them... Some People I've been around, won't even bother with Quarter Dollars... There was (and soon to be again) a time when a Quarter Dollar was a Great Deal of Money to People... I remember my Grandmother always reaching into a Little Black Purse to give the Exact Change... Those Coins had meaning to her... I can only guess what Coinage meant to "her" Grand-Parents... To make a long story short, I figure, 99.999 % of the People in the Financial World have over-looked the Power of our United States Coinage...
Agreed, most people have no concept of "money." My grandmother too, was careful with change- she had a little black coin purse.
