I know many men who are frightened of electricity or electrical circuits. I have been told more than once that "I don't fool with electricity. I'm not ready to die." I'll ask them, did you cut off the power and test the circuit that you need to work on? If you take the necessary precautions, then regular household electrical work is safe and not very difficult.
