I have a snowman in my front yard!
The kids were all here for the weekend and today it snowed! It was really coming down and it was good packing snow, so my son and his kids went out and built me a snowman before they left to go back home.
First they rolled 3 snow balls and stacked them up and packed them together with more snow.
A carrot nose, a hat and scarf around his neck and a pipe and he is looking quite dapper!
A good looking group!
First time in the 20 years that I have lived here that I have had a snowman! It has to be the right kind of snow for it to be snowman snow!

I liken it to being slapped in the face. I can only ignore it for so long. Action must be taken. While It is uncomfortable, so is being slapped in the face.
If he would come out with some actual evidence and not just his opinion, then I might see things differently. Until then, he's just some dude with money that thinks that he can get his way because he has money and, if people let him get away with it, then he will continue.

That's a good sized snowman they made, should last for awhile. It has been years since I made one.
They sun was shining this afternoon and there was some melting out there, but The Snowman is still standing tall and he will have plenty of opportunity to refreeze tonight.
That sure is one handsome snowman and a lovely family, and the photos are so pretty with the snow coming down. (I can't believe I just said that because I hate snow.) What a wonderful day with family. : )

It does have to be packing snow to make a snowman! If it is too cold the snow is too dry and the wind blows it around.

Ha! It's been many years for me, too and it was pure joy for me to watch these guys working together to build me a snowman before they went home! The sun is shining brightly and it was a little drippy out there, but he is still standing tall!

Normally by this time of the winter we are buried in snow and the temperatures are bitter cold, with no hope of any melting for another month or two. The temperature got warm enough today that the snow is already beginning to melt a bit.
They did a great job with the snowman!
Ah, so it is normal to have snow at this time of the year. I have always thought it only snow around December - tropical boy that I am. Thanks for the information.
We can get snow falls in October all the way through April. It just depends on whether the temperature drops below freezing when it rains. Spring flowers often get snowed on.

I do like being retired! I can enjoy the snow through the window and never go out in it at all.

Ours was definitely not packing snow, but we ended up with 8-10" depending on where you are in town.
More snow expected here tonight, but only 1-3 inches. I hope the snowman doesn't mind!
