Tarot Tuesday Twosome #8

Introduction

My Tarot Tuesday Twosome takes two cards and explains what they suggest about the present and immediate future. Two cards can show point / counter-point situations. They can show a situation and further details to consider. They can indicate the present situation ... and the near future or the next step in the progression.

They give literally twice as much information as the familiar One-Card Reading, and I have found them to be surprisingly prescient in my practice with them. So, I decided to bring them here to my Steemit blog -- to show you what I mean and invite you to consider their weekly message / prediction ... and step into a more conscious life.

4 of Mirrors = being withdrawn, bored, burned-out, "not interested," remote ... "in hiding"

6 of Scrolls Rx = a time of change, confusion, worry, fretting; unable to think clearly or make decisions you can feel confident about; releasing what "no longer serves" or is inappropriate to make way for a new level of thinking ... reaching a different perspective on life -- eventually

A comment on current conditions
What are these cards saying?

On the surface, you've gone into a kind of "radio silence" -- at least creatively. You may be perplexed as to how to get a handle on what you want to do next. You may find it hard to "get into" anything that excites you. You may have too many choices and options -- or too much going on otherwise -- and so you choose nothing, resorting to paralysis as a kind of personal defense.

You may be percolating something pretty impressive (once you get going), but it's not ready to make an appearance. It may not be ready to make an appearance even to you ... or come out from behind the barriers where you can work with it consciously.

You are likely going through some personal, psychological or spiritual transition, reaching a place where you'll make some different choices -- or figuring out what those choices are so you can get a sense of where you're going and how you plan to get there.

What you're looking to discard or change are ideas, relationships, commitments, projects, life directions that are no longer suitable -- and may just be cluttering up the inner works. If so, it's important that you take the time to identify what's really going on with you, how you've changed (and how you're still changing), and then figure out for sure "what's next."

You may also be worried about something -- and trying to come up with ways to handle your concerns effectively. However, this draws off enormous amounts of energy -- for the time being ... and you'll just have to trust the process and go with it for a while. Know that the answer will reveal itself to you ... in its own time. Meanwhile, hold on to your integrity. It's your calm center in the midst of this storm.

A forecast of the future
As a one-two sequence,
cause and effect / situation and result,
present situation and next situation

You may feel you've "run out of steam" -- no pun intended -- on a path that was once creatively fertile and exciting. You may have explored it enough that you can leave it now and move on to something else -- something more sophisticated and promising. Or it may not be panning out the way you'd hoped. In any case, it "just isn't you" any more -- and figuring out how to replace it ... and with what ... is still something you're trying to work out.

There may be a lot of "stuff" going on in your mind -- much of it seemingly unrelated to your creative life. Maybe most of it seems to be unrelated even to the other bits and pieces. It may feel you just have a lot of little things to worry over and fuss with -- and how it all fits together (because it does ... and it will) is still a mystery.

But all this inner churning will eventually bring clarity -- on a new level. It's just uncomfortable and annoying while it happens. (Especially if like me, you like the confidence and inner support of "having a clear direction." Lacking that and being "all at sea and confused" ... is really unpleasant. It also feels mighty unproductive, which doesn't help in the least.)

All this surface quiet is really deceptive. Your inner life feels very fragmented and chaotic -- perhaps to the point that all you want to do is stay private ... or even zone out and sleep a lot, to escape this lack of outer focus.

People may wonder what on earth is going on with you -- and why you're so quiet and uncharacteristically "absent" from your usual haunts -- and if you could explain it to them logically, that would be one thing -- one thing you could actually do about this. But you can't ... for now ... and so you're apt to avoid the questions by avoiding the people. That's one strategy -- and maybe it will work for you. You can try it at least, but it may not work for long.

Defining your inner state with words would also help. At least it would give you -- and everyone else -- some answers about your current reality. Chances are, they may sympathize more than you know. Chances are ... they're going through some version of this themselves. Maybe knowing this will let everyone get on with their inner work and stop obsessing over outer appearances. Now there's a thought!!

A point to ponder
Simple words of wisdom
to make the journey more interesting

Your inner life and the creative excellence that goes with it isn't always a straight line. In fact, it rarely is. Sometimes you're sailing the high seas -- joyously in love with life and what you're doing with your work and new discoveries.

Other times, you're in the doldrums -- where things are not nearly as much fun, but where the actual enrichment coming together may be far more fertile than you realize. This, too, is part of the process ... and you just have to go with it. The Tarot says ... that's what's happening now. This, too, shall pass. And you will be the richer for it. On many levels

doldrums = a state of inactivity or stagnation, as in business or art
a dull, listless, depressed mood; low spirits.

the doldrums = a belt of calm and light baffling winds north of the equator between the northern and southern trade winds in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

Yeah. That pretty well sums it up. My writing is actually going pretty well, but in every other area it's like I'm leaking blood from a thousand little cuts. Not life threatening but dammed annoying and takes big swatches of time out of any given day.

Thanks. Per normal, a very revealing post.
