Hello fellow Steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.
See the winner of the last week´s European Thursday @rimicane with the following entry:
The Glyder Fawr is one of the amazing mountains in the Snowdonia, Wales, UK. There is a path to go up in this image. Climbing was ok, the walking back was a challenge because our feet were very shaky! The view from the top of the mountain was a breathtaking experience! There are two paths - challenging and moderate. Guess what - we took the challenging because it was the shortest up. What a mistake - always go for the longest because they are the easiest! Unless you are physically fit!

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:
Sunrise in the Sahara. The sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara are an amazing sight. The huge amounts of piled sand are everything but boring, since the strong winds and the sun constantly change the patterns and colours of the dunes.

The International Court of Justice, known as the World Court, convenes here at Peace Palace in the Hague, Netherlands. Peace Palace opened in 1913 and had been a court of international justice since 1922. Sadly, this is the only view I got to see of Peace Palace. Regretfully I didn't get a chance to tour this important international landmark.
Two Towers, Bologna
This part of the city, built when Bologna was at the peak of its power and wealth, was once dotted with towers. In fact, one of Bologna’s many affectionate nicknames is “la turrita,” or the “city of many towers.” There were once hundreds of towers in the city; some were built for defensive purposes and many others built by powerful families, continually attempting to one-up each other.
What a shot👌. It looks like the second building is falling off.
This shot has really inspired me to visit Italy this summer. Its planned already. Thanks @ansharphoto.
Awesome shot dude, love the contrast in colours and the way the towers are focused in the pic
Great shot. You always do such an awesome job with your lighting and your colors in your images.
This is unreal. Those architects were trippin
I am just adding my admiration to the crowd for your image:)...
On my last trip, I visited a colourful seaside village called Manarola. It is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful villages in the famous Cinque Terre National Park, located in the Liguria region (northwestern Italy)!
haha it's a popular photo destination ( and beautiful of course )

What a fabulous place and image. Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas
Thanks Tomas! Cheers
Whilst exploring Retiro 'Retirement' park in Madrid for the first time in a decade, as golden hour started coming to a close I noticed this scene just outside one of the gates to the park. I love the mix of old and new(ish) architecture side by side. Wanted to take a long exposure but I didnt have my tripod, so had to try and stand still like the live human statues found in the streets of Europe. Luckily I think it came out alright. Thank you

This is beautiful. Great job.
thank you man, I appreciate it
Truly tremendous. Thank you so much for your submission. Have a great day. Tomas
On the photo below you can see touristic gem of Slovenia - Lake Bled. This is one of the most famous Slovenian attractions which bring more and more tourists each year. I am proud on my homeland Slovenia, so I will share more photos of our beautiful country in the future.

I see so many amazing images from there just like yours. I do have to make it there one day.
Jp, Czech Republic is so close that you simply have to visit us!
Remains of Old pier at Sventoji, Lithuania. And a very rare occasion here - very high Norhtern Lights. Really happens maybe few times per year, and to catch with clear skies is almost impossible... almost.. :)
Enjoy it!

Congratulations!
This is amazing. I wouldn't even know how to describe song something like this in person. This had to have been incredible.
Just wow! I hope I will be able to witness something like that one day.
Hey guys, this picture is showing the aurora borealis dancing during a full moon night in West of Iceland this year in march. Witnessing the northern lights in real was one of my biggest dreams that finally came true. The best time to see it is from October till March, if the weather permits. ;) Have a nice day!
I would love to see this. Amazing shot.
Welcome to Steemit and my contest. You have mad quite an entrance with this stunning image of yours. Wishing you the best of luck and look forward to more of your entries. Tomas
Dear Norway, I can't thank you enough for all the amazing moments you have given me and continue to give! This probably one of the last sunsets with snowy mountains in the background. But now sun stays up almost The whole night and it creates the most beautiful orange glow I have ever seen!
Perfect!
Trollheimen, Norway, 2013
I took this photo in Trollheimen mountains, which means Trolls' house. I spent there 5 days, sleeping in the tent and making food on fire. I remember that except beautiful views there was a lot of bogs and mosquitos also.
What an unspoiled beauty. Thank you for your image.
Hi,
This is my entry for this contest,
The alien's house
This is City of Arts and Sciences Museum in Valencia, Spain. This photo was taken in my trip to visit there. I love their architecture. I think that it is one of the best architectural design in Europe. Everything, every building here looks stunning. Even in sunset, everything looks more impressive. At this golden hour of day here, you can see ton of people just stand and look at the beautiful picture created by human being and the nature.
Best,
Thank you so much for this tremendous image. What a great entry!
Amazing sky colors over the Dolomites. This region of the Alps is always good from incredible sceneries and natural spectacles. The sun shows it's real beauty along the sharp stone formations of this loverly part of nature.
Oh yeah, those colors are amazing. The whole image is just fab!
Thank you! I thought you would like that :)
Spring time in Czech Republic. Most people looking forward to see and mostly feel spring after strong winter. This winter was not to hard but in few days was nearly -20 Celsius. This shot i took not far from center of Ostrava, opposite Ostrava Zoo.
Photo of the Kunsthause o Art Museum of Graz (in Austria). This post-modern building stands up among its neighbourhood which it is mainly of baroque and imperial buildings. This photo was taken from the Castle of Graz. The architects of this building were Peter Cook and Colin Fournier and its design is in the lines of the Blob Architecture. This building is also known as "Friendly Alien", due to its strange architecture.
The largest city in Switzerland is Zurich. It has a typical European cities style as shown in the photo. Zurich gives me an impression that it is a very rich city with very high living standards because I noticed at least 10 Lamborghini within an hour walk.
Germany - farmland and more farmland
Whenever we fly home from somewhere in the world, you'll know when you are almost home because of all the farmland you see below. Squares of crops and weed all around. Between them you find spots of forest or some lakes. Nothing special today but I love this image because of the symmetry.
Paros is one of the Cyclades island group in Greece. The shot is from Naoussa,a beautiful fishing village in the northern part of the island, caught between day and night, at the blurred moments of the dusk .
One of the pictures I'm very proud of is this one I took in Leiwen, Germany:
(Hosted on my Deviantart account)
At our vacation park there was a similar picture hanging in the lobby. I loved it and made it my mission to re-create that image myself. So I felt lucky when I got the chance to do so on a foggy morning!

Sometimes you don't have to walk a long way to take amazing shots. This one is from Rouen, the city where we live, otherwise known as the City of a 100 belltowers as Victor Hugo called it. Nowadays there are fewer belltowers because of the bombings that partially destroyed the city during World War II.
The picture was taken in a not so well-known entrance on the side of the Cathédrale of Rouen.
View of the medieval town of Cefalu, Italy. Cefalu is in Sicily and there is a hill you can hike up. There are ruins of the ancient city on the hill, but the highlight is definitely the views of the town and the Mediterranean Sea. I was lucky to visit in spring when there lots of wildflowers.
From a restaurant I managed to take the perfect picture of Tower Bridge, it is a bridge that crosses the River Thames in London. It combines the characteristics of swinging bridge and suspension bridge. It is one of the most famous architectural works of London visited by many tourists.

Lighthouse of Cabo de São Vicente
The lighthouse is situated in Portugal on the tip of the Cape of St. Vincent, the land's end of Europe, the extreme southwesternmost point of the continent. It is 24 metres (79 ft) high and was built over the ruins of a 16th-century Franciscan convent in 1846.
Gorgeous:) Way to go!
Thanks!
Together with the TV tower "Alex", the world time clock is the iconic symbol of Berlin's Alexanderplatz. Formerly a central square in Eastern Berlin, the soviet architecture is still visible today despite the presence of several "western" shopping centres.

These are the stairs that overlook the Albertina museum in Vienna. This place has a space where they show interesting collections of artistic works. It also has different rooms devoted to study and research. He is well known for presenting the works of Vincent van Gogh, where there are more than 100 works by this wonderful artist. It is an excellent place to see great works of art.
This picture was taken in Yard of Lost Toys in Lviv,Ukraine. Long story short :

This is what the south of France look like, small villages with houses made with rocks, in the center of the village is a church and the town is surrounded by the nature. During the day, the streets will mostly be empty as the weather is quite hot!
Location: Les Vans, France.
The Kjeragbolten in Norway. This stone is pinched between two walls almost 1000m above the surface. If you are brave enough, you can stand on it..
Ya, i think i will pass on standing on it. Great shot though.
What a great place and pic. Unfortunately, your entry is not fulfilling the minimum 30-word description requirement. Thank you for your understanding. Tomas
It is thursday and of course we need something from Europe. This is a beautiful shot from Vienna Austria.
A place where the young and the old meet to have fun. You cannot be serious throughout the week; you need fun, you need to be happy . Enjoy the sommersault, enjoy the sky walk.
Venice in Italy. Love this city. Love the food there: seafood, pizza, wine, bruschetta... I wish I knew Italian to be able to communicate better when shopping and in general.
Walking along the Tiber River in Rome facing the Vatican. My wife and I got engaged in Saint Peter's Square earlier in the day and had only left walking back to our hotel when this photo was taken. Great day and great night with a great view.

Helsinki, Finland
I invite you to admire Helsinki from the sea. I took this photo when I arrived by ferry to the capital of Finland. The huge white cathedral-Helsinki Cathedral towers over the city in the rays of the morning sun. Small ships have been moored to the pier.

Riding on my bike through the beautiful nature of Zeeland, The Netherlands.
Because we had a lot of rain last month, all the grasslands are very wet.
Nature seems happy, and so do I.
The architecture of Britain is amazing, went there last summer and took some shots or their buildings. This one in particular is a favourite from Leeds. Couldn't take my eyes from the roof of the building.
This is part of the ancient Roman city wall (or maybe an aqueduct, I'm not sure) in Patras, Greece. I find it fascinating how people show their lack of respect for ancient ruins by integrating them into their modern architecture. I'm a pragmatist by heart, but even I wouldn't dare...
This beautiful courtyard was the entry my hotel in Evora, Portugal. It's a converted 15th Century Convent about 5 Km from the center of town. Absolutely loved it!
Cool, very good, thanks
Absolutely stunning landscape by @rimicane much deserved win. Amazing work!
For your photo to be considered, you need to have a description about it and say where it was taken. Was this photo even taken in the European continent?
Is that your original click? If so then mind blowing one and you are a photographer..good work!
BEAUTIFUL IMAGE! A DESOLATE PLACE BUT QUIET.
Congratulations to the winners. They really deserve it. Outstanding photography! Love this contest. ♥
