@mibreit-photo Australian Monday entry:
When I was travelling through Australia I spent two days on the Great Ocean Road. The weather was quite grey and I didn't get good light for the first day and a half. And also the last evening didn't look different. I still went down to the Gibson Steps and waited. This light was the reward.

The best way to explore Europe is by train. Even on the train your can admire the amazing scenery the Europe countryside has to offer. I was on a train from Salzburg to Zurich when I snapped this picture. The little houses looks cute against the lush mountain side, with the Alps towering in the background. Such a beautiful mountain landscape!
That is an amazing landscape. The buildings are so tiny.
Thanks! Yeah it's just like tiny blocks. Very cute
What an incredible capture! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.
Picture of "The IX fort" in Kaunas, Lithuania. Shot in the middle of the day and this is single handheld shot. The IX fort is a part of the Kaunas Fortress, which was constructed in the late 19th century. During the occupation of Kaunas and the rest of Lithuania by the Soviet Union, the fort was used as a prison and way-station for prisoners being transported to labour camps. After the occupation of Lithuania by Nazi Germany, the fort was used as a place of execution for Jews, captured Soviets, and others (information provided according to Wikipedia, where You can find much more info about this place).
Enjoy the picture and don`t forget to enlarge :)
This is a nice low angle shot! And what an awesome site - could be perfect for a movie!
Thanks, location is really spectacular! Camera was literally touching the ground :)
This looks like a scene straight out of Lord of the Rings. Awesome shot.
Thanks, did not think of that when I was editing :)
What a mysterious shot! Great job.
Thank You Tomas!
Isle of Eigg, Scotland
The trip to Scotland — the rough and rugged edge of Europe — was a first for me. I was amazed daily by the rapid changes in the weather: the same sky that was gray and ominous one moment could become illuminated with brilliant sunlight the next. There were days when it seemed we could experience all four seasons in the span of a few hours.
Splendid!
Last year I visited Northern Spain for one week. I stayed in the Liencres area, which has an awesome rugged coast line. On this evening I went down to the Manzano sea stacks, which you see in the background. It was a grey and moody evening, somehow fitting for this scene.
Thank you so much for your entry, great as always!
Rainy gloom descends over the Rock of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. Prior to the Normal invasion it was the traditional seat of the kings and royalty of Munster. . The round tower dates from when it was It was donated to the Church in 1101 while the cathedral was built between 1235 and 1270. The rock was sacked in 1647 during the Irish Confederate Wars by forces aligned with Cromwell. Close to 1,000 were killed during the sacking of Cashel

I want to visit Ireland so bad. There is so much history in those walls. Beautiful shot.
You should read my full post here if you like the history. It was horrific. And people wonder why the Irish hated the British so much.

European?! Well let's see what I have. I took this shot about a year ago in Saxony, Germany, very close to the Czech Border. A well hidden treasure that got famous through RedBull and Instagram. A park in which a half round Bridge forms a perfect circle in its own reflection. Surrounded by Trees and abstract rock formations. Magical place. The autumn colors round it up to a perfect frame!
Amazing...
Thank you!!!
Lost for words, what an amazing entry! Have a fantastic day. Tomas
Thank you so much! You too ;) Thanks for hosting these daily contests
Wow, perfect shot and colors!
Thank you! Glad you like it
Thank you!!!
Stunning colourful summer sunset shot with pretty long exposure to make water silky. Baltic Sea, nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania. Wide angle lens used to get most of the perspective and found some nice piece of wood for better foreground view

One of the true wonders of the world is the Jurassic Coast located in the south of the UK. The coast has numerous historically/geologically significant spots and is protected by the UNESCO heritage.
On the image below a path is leading down to the Durdle Door - a spectacular limestone arch (maybe for the next time)! The other side has a nice little beach.
We spent here an evening and continued our journey down the coast to explore more. One of the unforgettable experiences for sure!
What an amazing view and wonderful landscape. Love it!
Thank you! 😃
Another amazing hike in the North of Norway, a three hour hike gets you there... They call this the blue lake and I guess that needs no explanation :)
PS: It is actually this blue, there is no photoshop on this one.
Tremendous place, wonderful image!

Wigry is a small village in the administrative district of Gmina Suwałki, in north-eastern Poland. The village has a population only 30 people. The largest part of the village is taken by the monastery that is in my photograph. The entire village lies on a peninsula in the middle of Lake Wigry.
Iceland is a small country with only about 335.000 people living in it. It offers amazing natural beauties which we can admire on world class photos. Today I wanted to post a bit different Iceland, not only landscape, but some architecture as well. Hope you will enjoy in my church photo…

Mountain road above Dorfgastein, Austria
Dorfgastein (hidden in the morning fog in the pciture) is a charming little town near much more famous Bad Gastein in Gastein Valley in Austria. It has successfully managed to preserve its authentic character while offering everything you could wish from an active vacation.
This is the old town of Annecy, France. The old town if full of colorful facades, restaurants and cafes. These buildings used to protect the city with the high murals right by the river flowing though annecy.
Polana Chocholołowska is special place in Western Tatra Mountains in Poland. You can find there old wooden shelters, visit small wooden church and during spring there is a lot of crocuses. This time I was there in September and I think it's very good time for hiking - still warm and not so many people.
View of Pico, the second biggest island of the Azores with its eponymous Volcano. It is the biggest mountain of Portugal (2.351 m). The volcano last erupted in the year 1718.

The beautiful railway that connects the five villages along the Cinque Terre National Park (Liguria region, northwestern Italy), photographed from Manarola. This landscape, formed by hills and sea, turns this railway into one of the most spectacular in Europe!
In the highest part of the medieval village of Gruyères (Switzerland) stands the majestic homonymous castle. The visit to the castle offers a tour through 800 years of history, art and legends before a magnificent view.
This is one of my favourite pictures I took during my time in Skopje. I was lucky that there was no wind on that evening, so I was able to capture the plants in the foreground really sharp, although I exposed for 30 seconds. In my opinion, it looks pretty interesting in combination with the silky water that reflects the colourful city lights.
contests are such a great idea, i am only a week on stemit and just found out about them.

Photo of Serra de Collserola, which is a mountain range that surrounds the city of Barcelona (Catalonia). The photo was taken from the Vallès side, it means that Barcelona is behind the mountains. I took this photo after a storm, so the sky had this interesting cloud formation.
On this photo you can see one of the most famous & one of the smallest Croatian islands in the Adriatic sea. It is called "Kamen Brela". I took this photo in 2016 during my 2 months #voyage from Opatija, #Croatia to Sofia, #Bulgaria & back.
Douro Valley in Porto, Portugal
The Douro is one of the major rivers of the Iberian Peninsula, flowing from its source near Duruelo de la Sierra in Soria Province across northern-central Spain and Portugal to its outlet at Porto.
Douro Valley is one of the largest area for grape farming to make wine. The taste of Douro Wine is so delicious and special.
This photo was taken in a terraced farm in a mountain. Looking down, we see the beautiful picture of river, village, moutain, etc.

Louvre Museum
Welcome to the Museum of Museums, the most prestigious and known in the world, full of a multitude of works of art among the most popular.
Extraordinary collections of jewels, sculptures, Egyptian antiques, and paintings by the greatest painters in the world, the richness of this museum is largely inestimable.
The ideal is to visit the museum over several days by defining sectors, because the area and the world are quickly very tiring.
@marc-allaria je ne connaissais pas ce cliché. La photo dégage beaucoup de douceur. Très belle entrée à ce concours.
La crau !
The Vasco da Gama Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge flanked by viaducts and rangeviews that spans the Tagus River in Parque das Nações in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. It is the second longest bridge in Europe.
Waterfall in Aurland, Norway
Norway is one of the best places in Europe if you want to experience some beautiful and pristine nature. In Norway, wild camping is legal with little restrictions, so I set up my tent just 100m from the spot where I took this photo and fell asleep to the sound of the waterfall.
