MY VOCAB PRACTICE:
- Joseph Smith the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was a polygamist.
- In modern time the label of Humanist have devolved from it's previous association with polymaths.
- There's a certain degree of confusion around the question of whether Christianity should be categorized as Monotheism or as Polytheism.
Good work!
And your point about Christianity is interesting. For a start, it holds that the father, the son, and the holy spirit are all "gods," in a way. And there is even a verse in the bible that says, "Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are 'gods'?"
I suppose, initially, they were like "The book say there's only The Lord, but Jesus said he himself was the only path, if they are separate then it's blasphemy, oopsie!".
Early church wasn't exactly dealing with sophisticated, critically thinking populations.
Good point.
