Do you love Twin Peaks?
My wife and I visited Snoqualmie Falls in Washington state on the 24th of July, 2012, during our Amtrak Coast Starlight vacation. We stayed at the Salish Lodge, a fantastic hotel with a superb restaurant. Exterior shots of the falls and the hotel are prominently featured in the edgy TV masterpiece, Twin Peaks.
Above, the top of the falls, as seen from the hotel restaurant, known as the Dining Room, at breakfast.
Below, the welcome sign at the park.
Above, some construction barriers and equipment are visible above the falls.
Below, signage explains why reconstruction has closed parts of the park.
Above, Puget Sound Energy puts its environmental commitments on display.
Below, a look at the full drop length, with mist from the falls obscuring the base — and making the whole view hazy.
Another glimpse of our Snoqualmie Falls visit coming next Wednesday!
