Thank you @tattoodjay :)
No, the EOS M50 is also a mirrorless, and I liked it very much, because it is so small and lightweight.
The EOS R is really heavy, but as you say, it is very similar to your Sony and I love it :)

Ohh OK so you did the same as me from Mirrorless APS-c to full frame, UI had the 6500 which as APS-c and so light the plan when I bough the full frame was to still use the small one for carrying into the city each day, but i end up bringing the full frame with me and only use the small one as a second camera if I am shooting any of the local events
That's funny :)
I wanted to sell my M50 with the lenses and all the other accessories and buy a telezoom lens (or a long macro ;), but my son has decided to start photographing ;)
I let him have his fun with it. When he still likes photographing after a few weeks he can have it and I'll teach him ... we will see :)
I gave my old camera the A6000 to my daughter in law with some lenses she doesn’t use it much but says when we move closer she will come out with me taking photos sometimes time will tell I think my idea of a short photoealk May be a trek for her lol
Yes, I am also curious, if my son will really be interested or if it's just a new toy for a while. My dream would be, that he likes photographing so much, that he wants to become a professional photographer :)))
That would be cool would it not but either way fir now you can enjoy photo time with him
The only problem with him will be to photograph sunrises, because he likes to sleep till lunch.
But, yes, I would enjoy it very much if he would join me and my hobby.
Sounds like my Stepson, unless he has to be up for work early he could sleep in all morning LOL
