RE: Over 400 followers..So why does this depress me? Just letting off a little Steem

in #whalepower7 years ago

I have not read all of your posts because I am brand new to Steemit but, I've liked the few that I've read. You provide original and well-written content and eye catching pictures.

One thing you may consider is not to re-steem that much. looking at your profile page, it's hard to find your content because your page is populated with resteems. Also, you may need to try different strategies to see which brings you the best results

Thank you for your feedback @sylviaspence I resteem a lot of worthy posts of those who are supporting me, so it is a tough call for me. There has to be a better solution to this problem. I appreciate you and your support.

When I was trying to decide if I wanted to follow someone who had followed me, if I went to their page and mostly I saw resteems rather that #originalcontent, I turned away.
Then someone who has been here a lot longer, told me that at this stage of the game (I'm a minnow) I should follow back anyone who follows me.
Consequently, now my feed is filled with trite stuff, and I can't find the posts of my friends without scrolling like, forever.
I am beginning to regret that decision.
That being said, I am experiencing the same thing; upvotes, comments and shares are way down for me.
I too, spend a great deal of time crafting my posts, AND
my replies

Same here @jerrytsuseer hopefully the developers will figure out a solution and give us a link to our originalcontent so we can continue to support each other with resteems and still be able to find our own.

We started using the #originalcontent hashtag in tsu. Using that you can track stuff, but hardly anyone here is using it

@jerrytsuseer honest is the only way I know how to be

@jerrysuseer thanks, I will give it a shot!

I agree! I have so wondered how we could easily isolate our own content and possibly have a better way to categorize or sort our posts, aside from putting in some tags. We're still and beta though, so there must be a solution to this. :) What an honest post @thethreehugs. :)
