Best practice on Steem is to note when a post is a repost - usually just a quick note at the bottom and link to where it has appeared elsewhere online would suffice. It is kind of a common courtesy thing - many curators (myself included) like to reward content that is original to Steem (either posted here first, or cross-posted here at same time as elsewhere).
