What's good Hivers and POSH'ers!
I’ve been playing around in Blender and thought of getting my hands on some animation magic. I've been dying to try out my new 4080x3 SUPER GPU. If you’re into 3D animation or visual design, you know how much power and speed a solid GPU can bring to the table. For me, this cut my render time in half. My rendering process has never been smoother or faster, and that’s a huge plus when you’re working with animations that require that level of detail. There's still some optimization required t o boost the process of rendering, but for now, it will do fine.

The goal was simple: freshen up the "POSH STATS" animation. The old version was nice, but felt outdated for me. I wanted to give it new energy and an updated feel to reflect the vibe I’m going for. I wanted to bring in more dynamic lighting and use a subtle texture in the logo, making it pop in a way. I also added some SFX to add emotion to it and bring the whole thing to life. Now we just need a use-case for it ;).
But yeah, it’s no walk in the park still. Each image takes about 5-10 minutes to render, and when you multiply that by 275 images, you realize how time-consuming the process can get. But in the end, the crisp details and clarity that 4K brings make it all worth it. It's a good time to turn on the elevator music ;).
I focused on giving the animation a new vibe and a fresh style (as you can see in the updated render). The new lighting setup adds this sleek, modern feel to it. It’s smoother, cleaner, and totally in line with the aesthetic I wanted to achieve.
So, I made the animation for:
- a GIF for sharing the animation easily
- a HD render for streams, updates, YouTube, Pay-offs, etc. (loopable)
- A 16:9 format for Reels/Stories on Socials (loopable)
- a Blender file for POSH/Hive, so you can dig into it or tweak stuff if you want
This whole process has been a ton of fun. Not only did I get to explore more of what Blender has to offer, but I also got to work on refining my own workflow. It’s been great learning even more about 3D animation and how to optimize it for speed and quality. If you’re into 3D animation, I’d definitely recommend giving it a shot. Blender is a powerful tool, and the results really speak for themselves.
Here’s a sneak peek of my workspace. You can see how everything’s coming together, from the objects in the scene to the fine-tuning of the textures and lights. It’s all about getting those small details just right to make the final result pop.

Here’s a quick preview of the updated animation. I’d love to hear what you think! Drop your thoughts or suggestions in the comments below. It’s always awesome to get feedback, and I’m always open to improving my work.
For me, this is all about pushing my own limits, learning from it while having fun while doing it. The whole process took me about 8 hours of working in Blender, designing the animation, making the model and creating materials from scratch. Then there's render time, about 12 hours of render time. So much time for such a 'short' animation. Crazy, right!
Hope you guys like it :)
Cheers,
Ruben
So pretty! 😍
Thanks man! I'm pretty happy with the result myself as well!
