Good morning friends who love drones and adventure! Today I decided to combine both hobbies that I am passionate about to discover a unique place in Portugal, a geological formation that is more than five hundred years old and is already considered a heritage of Portugal. We are going to travel to the Sierra de Mafra to enjoy this hill with volcanic rock formations that was once a volcano. Enjoy my experience.⛰️🚩
Buenos dias amigos amantes de los drones y la aventura! hoy decidi unir ambos hobbies que me apasionan para descubrir un lugar unico en Portugal, una formacion geologica que tiene mas de quinientos anos y que ya es considerada patrimonio de Portugal, vamos a viajar hacia la sierra de Mafra para poder disfrutar de esta colina con formaciones rocosas volcanias que algunas vez fue un volcan, disfruta de mi experiencia.🔥🌄
Trail from the village of "Murtal"🚩/Sendero desde la aldea de "Murtal"⛰️🧭
There is no official signage or trail to get to the volcanic hills, you will have to go directly to the village of "Murtal" and then mark an 8km route to the "Sierra Mafra", it is actually quite difficult to explain where you have to walk to get here, it is something quite "hidden" I suppose the municipal chamber wants to keep the place as preserved as possible but I leave you the coordinates that will help you: "38.895941, -9.312459" the street is called: "Calle Mafra Pequeña".⛰️🧭
No existe una senalizacion o un sendero oficial para llegar a las colinas volcanicas tendras que llegar directamente a la aldea de "Murtal" y luego marcar una ruta de 8km hasta la "sierra Mafra", en realidad es bastante dificil de explicar por donde tienes que ir caminando para llegar aqui, es algo bastante "escondido" supongo que la camara municipal quiere mantener el lugar lo mas preservado posible pero te dejo las coordenadas eso te ayudara: "38.895941, -9.312459" la calle se llama: "calle mafra pequena".🌍🚩
The village does not have much to see, there are no archaeological sites or anything like that, however the trail is nice because you pass through a small park that is like an ecological reserve with a lagoon included, there is an interesting fact: this entire area within a radius of more than 40 km was inhabited by various civilizations, the first record was four thousand years ago, try to pay attention to the GPS so as not to get lost here in the park because it is very large.🧭🌍
La aldea no tiene mucho que ver, no hay lugares arqueologicos ni nada por el estilo sin embargo el sendero es bonito porque pasas por un pequeno parque que es como una reserva ecologica con una laguna incluida, hay un dato interesante toda esta zona a un radio de mas de 40km fue habitada por varias civilizaciones, el primer registro fue hace cuatro mil anos, trata de prestar atencion al gps para no perderte aqui en el parque porque es muy grande.⛰️🌄

Climbing the Hill🚩/escalando la colina⛰️🧭
I saw a good opportunity to share this hike with my family. It was about 12km in total and to go up the hill you have to be careful because it is very slippery on rainy days. You need hiking poles and boots. It is 220 meters high in total and you will go through a small forest that will make your experience fun.🧭⛰️
Vi una buena oportunidad para compartir con mi familia en esta caminata, en total fueron unos 12km y para subir a la colina tienes que tener cuidado porque es muy resbaloso en dias de lluvia, necesitas bastones de excursion y botas, en total son 220metros de altura y pasaras por un pequeno bosque que hara de tu experiencia algo divertida.🚩🌍
Hello friends, it was a short post to literally learn about the challenges of where a volcano once existed in continental Portugal. I liked the adventure and, more so, with the family, where you can have fun. I recommend taking the hike. If you want, you can add a visit to Penexo de Lexim to your route, which is another formation similar to this one, but which, in contrast, has a cave where people lived in the Bronze Age.⛰️🧭
Buenos amigos, era un post corto para conocer literalmente los retos de donde existio un volcan en Portugal continental, me gusto la aventura y mas en familia que uno se puede divertir, te recomiendo hacer la caminata si quieres puedes anadir a tu ruta una visita a penexo de lexim que es otra formacion parecida a esta que a diferencia tiene una cueva donde habitaron personas en la era de bronce.🌄🚩
