Well, I've been playing Fortnite on the Switch for the past couple of months, and even if it's not the best shooting game I have played, I can recognize that it's fun. I'm a casual player; I've never been very good at competitive games unless I have a lot of practice; sometimes I make the right moves on games, but I am terrible most of the time.
Fortnite might be a game for rat kids (niños ratas), as we say in Mexico, but that also makes it a great place to kill some n00bs. As I said, I'm not that good, but I can say that I have won at least 70% of my one vs. one duels in Fortnite. Sometimes people start shooting at me, and I turn around and kill them; maybe they haven't grown fingers or hands, and that's why it's easy for me.
I wouldn't say I like speaking with kids half my age or younger, and the friends I have there are almost always busy, so I only play the Solo mode. In this mode, you are alone against 99 players. Sometimes I like to be the last to land to prepare myself for combat, and sometimes I want to go to the center of the map and aim for the giant ball there, then rush to pick up a weapon and start killing people. I am often successful, but sometimes I end up dead in less than a minute because two players start shooting at me or miss all my shots.
One day I was able to play with a friend named Hugo. I met him in 2006, and I worked with him on his video game shop in 2007 for some months. He also likes to play for fun, so we had a good time and even won a Duel mode game. He had the John Wick skin.
I tried the competitive modes, but I didn't have the same fun because they have hands and fingers. So I prefer to play to have a good time. If a game is making you feel very stressed or angry, I think it ruins the experience.
Some years ago, I played Overwatch on the PC, but I don't have a good enough PC now to play it, and I don't have it for the Nintendo Switch, and that's the only console that I currently have. I enjoyed Overwatch a lot, I played it for a lot of time, and the best thing is that I had a great group of friends to play with, which made the game even better.
I took more screenshots while playing Fortnite, I want to buy a video capture thingy to record videos and upload them to 3Speak, but I still need to do some research to figure out which is the best one for me.
Besides Fortnite, I have also played The Legend Zelda Breath of the Wild, Katamari Damacy, and Stardew Valley on the Switch. I think my next gaming post will be about The Legend of Zelda.
