Contest # 222 of @Ladiesofhive questions for the week are:
1οΈβ£ Who, or what, inspires you?
~ πππ / ππ ~
2οΈβ£ Who was your role model growing up?
So, I am going to answer these questions both in one go.
In my growing up I had many role models, it was just not one person. Many people who crossed my paths inspired me to become who I am today. I had no one person in my life, who I could say, I wanted to become like him or her. It was a little bit of quite a few people. Most of them were my teachers.
There was one of my primary school teacher, whose story I have mentioned before, how she took care of me when I was in a very helpless condition and she was the first person who I thought I would like to become like. Full of love and compassion and so caring, she was that I always felt that even my heart should be like her to think for others in the same manner that she did. Then there was my boarding school principal, who had somewhat similar personality. She always looked tough from the outside but there were times when I clearly saw her soft heart and the way she cared for all of us in the boarding school.
Later on in life, there was one of my boss in one of the jobs in the earlier days, who had similar qualities. She was excellent at the job, and she groomed me very well in to the job, she was tough and at the same time a very gentle and a humble lady. She was on a very senior level, but she never boasted about her position. I would always think that when I would climb up the ladder, I would want to be like her who was ambitious and at the same time gentle, caring and humble.
To look at the patterns all of these type of people who showed love and compassion towards others and are humble were and are my role models and they inspire me a lot to become like them. Then of course there was my dad, who was my biggest role model. He had an extremely tough life and yet was always jovial in nature. I never heard him complaining about life. He was always very helpful to others and he taught me tremendous life lessons through his own experiences. He taught me how to go out of way to help others, and to be honest in life about everything, to be kind towards those who were below us. The only drawback he had was, he could not express love, but he could clearly express compassion, even in his harshness one could see his kindness. He would do things silently for others and never let them know and on their face he would come out as a ruthless person. I did not want to become ruthless, but yes the other parts of him I always want to take that with me.
Thank you for visiting my blog. πΌπ»πΌπ»πππΉπΊπΈ

Thank you. Our parents set the base for us in life and that goes a long way for us.
Your Dad is a very good man., doing things for others is also an act of love to me. People just chose to see what they wanted to see( as being ruthless) ignoring what they were ment to see.
He was indeed a very good man, though very few people could see that in him.
You didn't have a role model you said you wanted to be exactly like, but there were traits that shone to you. Kindness, compassion and goodness of heart. This was deeply insightful.π«ΆπΎ
Thank you. For to be a role model of someone solely you need perfection in many areas of life and that seems a challenging thing in today's time
In this part of the world where I reside, we have lots of fathers who do not know how to show love. They come off tough and strict and ruthless, but we know that they are very kind. They've just been conditioned not to be very expressive. So I can understand what you say about your dad, and I know that he's a good man.
True, some of the man cannot express but that does not mean they do not love. Rather I find these people very soft from within, and they can break down also easily with the harsh experiences of life.
Your Dad is very kind and compassionate especially when she cares for people below you
Thank you
For a girls their dad always remain an important role model. Away from family , it is important to seek some learning or lessons from others.
A Daughter is always special for the Father and he would do anything to protect her. It's just that some can express it and some cannot
I think it is a blessing and luck to have a good boss, who becomes an example to follow, parents normally teach us a lot with their way of being. Greetings and blessings my friend.
Thank you. True, not many seniors show that level of compassion for their team members
Certainly too many peoples coming to our lives can shape our good future for sure. And somewhere I felt my father too had the same qualities as that of your Dad, except that he was strict.
And I am sure you respect him so much for whatever he is
Ys, I do because he gave us a wonderful future.
