The Challenge
I know I'm late... again. I'm sorry about that.
If this was the first time you joined the 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge, you should know that i never seem to be able to get the winner's post out one time. Life has its ways that cause me to be late all the time.
But here it is, finally!
9 people joined this 9th edition of the SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge, the first one of 2019. I consider this to be a success, since it's id-winter in half of the world.
You can find all entries in the comments section of the official contest post: 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge 9 - January (Join Or Resteem And Win)
As always, I loved reading all those garden journals and seeing all those pictures. I'm so tired of winter and frost it was nice to see some greens for a change, as my own garden looks emptu, brown and muddy.

🏆The Prizes🏆
All entry posts received a 100% upvote from my personal account.
Fortunately, the @steem-bounty service never loses track of time, and every participant has received his share of the boutny I had put on the post, to make sure everyone would receive a reward, as small as it may be.
Because of the low price of Steem and SBD, the two posts that appealed to me the most will receive 6 Steem each.

2 randomly chosen resteemers will both receive an @incinboost share.
this post.If you haven't heard of @incinboost yet, you can read
Basically, you can compare the system with SteemBasicIncome. The big difference is that you get back more for what you put in. In short: it's more profitable and shares are processed faster.

The Contestants
Next to some veterans, I also had the pleasure to welcome a couple of new faces, and their gardens.
A big thanks to everyone who participated this time and showed us their January update.
@abitcoinskeptic, @cloudblade, @porters, @nat-expressions, @pastoragus, @allyson19, @alphaccino.art, @phyowinkoko and @fotostef, thanks for entering. It is because of you that I can keep this contest alive.
I really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts. Again, the entries were of different varieties: we could see summer gardens, winter gardens, indoor gardens... I could simply feel the enthusiasm and the love for greenery. Once again, I fell in love with everyone’s story...
I'm sorry I failed to leave you all a decent comment, but life has been hectic. I assure you I did read every single post and enjoyed it to the fullest.
If you love your garden - no matter how big or how small it is - I probably won’t have to tell you that you are all winners.
If you’re a bit like me you know how easy instant happiness can be: a flower that blooms, a delicious, homegrown fruit to pick, finding a ladybug walking around... They don’t come any better than that, right?!

The Winners
Again, it was difficult to decide who I would reward with the Steem prizes. If I could have it my way, you would all win first prize, but if I start doing that every month, I'll be broke before I know it...
But here they are, the winners of the January-edition of the 🌺 SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge.
The winners are...

SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge 9 - January@pastoragus' , who showed how you can still grow a garden, even if you have little space.
Congratulations to both. I've sent your prizes to your wallets.

Resteem rewards
I want to thank everyone who resteemed the contest post to help to get the word out about this challenge. There were a lot more resteems this month, for which I want to thank everyone.
To pick 2 random winners, I entered all names into a random name picker.
The 2 people that will receive an @incinboost share are:
The shares have been sponsored.

Discord serverPlease keep an eye out to make sure the shares are registered. Normally that isn't supposed to take a lot of time. In a few days, you can check the numbers of shares you have in the #share-lookup channel in the @incinboost

Keep Posting Garden Updates
This was the first edition of the #gardenjournal2019 challenge. Thanks to everyone who joined.
Since February is a month in which there is a lot to do for gardeners all around the world, I hope to see you all in a week or 2, to show me what you are up to!

@simplymike I have been trying to find your discord group, but have not been able to. Do you have a link for me ??
I also signed up for your newsletter. I am living in an apartment so I am down to a balcony garden in season ( right now it would make a good skating rink lol) Cannot wait till we get back to having our own house so we can have a proper garden.
I am hoping that you will be covering patio gardens as I have had a market garden in the past but this last season was my first attempt at a patio garden, and can use all the advice and tips I can get my hands on.
May spring come soon
.I don't have a gardening-related Discord group. Only one for people who just start out on SteemIt.
Personally , I have no experience with patio gardens, but I can share with you the trick that has helped me most these couple of years during my gardening adventures: Google knows all! :0) Most of my gardening posts I make on my @organicgardener account.
Gosh I was sure I entered. Time must have screwed with me. Still coping with fact it's 2019!

Congrats to the winners! We have recently moved and will move again soon, so my nomad existence at this time only allows me to take photos in other peoples gardens. All strength with your competition @simplymike

So sorry I missed this. I enjoyed reading the entries, really cheered me up on a cold and wintry day. Thank you for organising and hope you feel better very soon.

Outside my front door yesterday :)
Thanks @ smplymike
This is a good event
Though my garden is small
It is Use existing indoor space
Sometimes I often think of it
Maybe I can also plant in the bedroom.
Because the balcony / terrace is not big enough
There are plenty of people who grow indoors. A couple of challenges ago; someone showed me how she was growing tomatoes in the living room.
With a little creativity, everything is possible :0)
So many nice gardens. Congrats to the winners. I will have to get working on my stuff. I am falling behind sadly.

Thank you @simplymike and congratulations to all the winners. I am also happy to see some of the entries. We do not have winter here and was dreaming about it when I was young but I guess I am lucky to have a sunny weather all year so I can do gardening all year.
OMG, I'm so jealous!!!! It's freezing outside here.
Fortunally I'm fully equipped to start sowing inside, in my heated propagator.
I will start sowing soon, but nevertheless, I won't be able to plant my veggies outside before May 15, which s still such a long, long tims :0(
Hi @simplylike! Here my February overview of my garden. I hope it's not early and not late now ;) https://partiko.app/@travoved/steemit-community-garden-journal-challenge-for-february-2019-nzgh9bd0

Thanks for the garden update, but in fact you're indeed just too late to join the January edition and just too early to join the February edition.
I'll try to get the announcement for the February edition out some time this week, so you can join it with this post.
As I wrote in title of my post that it's for February so let it be a February Journal entry! 😉
