I sometimes fly over the internet and see some interesting things, but recently I spotted something gigantic.
An entire country that had once apparently existed on this planet-- covering most of what is now Russia and China and well beyond-- a country that is hardly mentioned in history these days, for some reason; Tartaria
The country of Tartary was something I'd never seen or even heard of, and it was Max Igan (@maxigan ) who first brought it to my attention through some of his recent (Dec. 2018-ish) crowhouse utube videos.
In these videos, Mr. Igan asks if the Tartarian empire could have stretched into the Americas, to Australia and beyond, and if Tartary was the civilization that was incorporating the technologies which allowed the building of some of the world's most prominent and unexplained megalithic structures. Max asks some really good questions.
Looking at the size of Tartary on the old maps, it's natural to wonder what could have happened to this empire, since it was obviously a very real, very big place once upon a time, not so long ago.
Tartaria on Old Maps
I was happy to find a fair selection of maps that I could share here from Wikimedia Commons, if you'd like to zoom in on the images that are seen here, most of these were found under the search 'tartary, maps'.

It was called Tartary on some old maps, and Tartaria on others, and while I'll admit that most of Earth's history is new to me, I'm always intrigued if it seems like something is being deliberately hidden or occulted away from sight.
It's only been a handful of people who have written the biggest chapters in the history of our planet, a lot has been left out. Much of the history that we are taught to repeat is intentionally wrong, so that we don't know our own planet's true history, and even recent events are often twisted in obfuscation so that they are remembered incorrectly, or forgotten as needed.
Many things are omitted from the history books because they are too boring, but when a large country is written out of history so intentionally, with no explanation, it gets my attention.
What Happened, And How Long Ago Did Tartary Vanish?
According to the 1979 Webster's Dictionary, there's no such place as Tartary or Tartaria, unless we accept the word Tartarus, which according to Webster is described as being a place in Hades reserved for the worst of offenders.
Webster had to admit that tartar sauce was a thing, and also defines the word tartar as 'a native or inhabitant of Tatary' but then adds, 'a person of ill or violent temper', and one that proves to be unexpectedly formidable as alternative definitions. Once it gets to tartar on teeth causing decay, it becomes clear that the word is not doing well in the English language.
Did the Tartarians do something terrible, an event that nobody wants to remember? Wouldn't the rest of the world be boasting their victory over an evil empire, if Tartary was so bad? Or was it the other way around; did something terrible happen to the people of Tartary, something so terrible that nobody wants to admit that their own ancestors might have committed an unspeakable genocide?
I guess we don't know that yet, because history has been heavily edited over the centuries, and the official narrative hardly matches the evidence that is left behind.
I'll have to fly over the internet a few more times, maybe land somewhere in the lost land of Tartary, see what I can find there.
Did you ever here about Tartarian clay tablets found that dated back to 5000 bc? Is this the same civilization or a different one?
You've really picked my brain with this subject Paul. After the holidays we'll have to get together again and discuss more of this stuff.
Of all the videos on Tartary, I mostly like all the old pictures of cathedrals and the architecture-- I dunno who built that stuff or how they did it, but it's amazing.
I've definitely heard that name somewhere, but I can't recall details, so it must have only been in passing. I am also intrigued, tell me if you find anything else :)
This is my latest hobby I guess, studying the past and trying to figure out which parts of history are false. It's possible that there was technology being used back then, built into the old architecture that is being hidden from us now, and that always gets me interested too. Now I'm wondering if there's any old structures or devices around this area, laying in plain sight, that haven't been torn down yet.
The trouble with these maps is that they do not show the west side of Africa where Atlantis was located.
Tartary could have been the other civilization Atlantis warred against.
Basically, Atlantis destroyed the other civilization and then blew up.
But, we are dealing with timings we know very little about.
Most of the real information is locked up in the Vatican.
And the pieces we have out here are not all of the same puzzle.
The timelines do not match. The moon is all over the place.
Eclipses don't match up.
So, either all these authors had different calendars or all these records were modified.
Most historians who try to match up these phases find that 200 to 1000 years is missing from our history. (between 0 AD and now)
On another note, we can see it happening right now. The rewriting of history. Even america's timeline has been changed. Rotschildren paid professors to be to learn the "new" history. And now, that is all that is taught.
I don't like this one bit. I don't like people fuckin with my past.
It is irritating to think of all the knowledge that's ratted away under the Vatican, shit we could be using right now.
I've definitely heard of Tartars, but not anything about their lost empire.
It's all a brand new mystery for me, even though there's something familiar about it.
You might try the geographic entries in the back of most dictionaries. It also has an entry, albeit a brief one, in my old 1989 World Book Encyclopedia.
I looked back there in this '69 Webster's, but it wasn't listed.
It's in the geographic entries of The American Heritage Dictionary, 2nd. College Edition c. 1982
I'm not sure Tartaria was an empire per se though. The nomadic steppe people like the Tartars were generally a bit more decentralized than that if I'm not mistaken. Still, the Mongols were conquerors and empire builders, so who is to say?
