Hello music lovers and welcome in our twelve day of #a-zmusic challenge started by @psos, devoted for letter L. Some of you will say that L states for Loosers, other one that L states for Lovers. Raving Foxes instead are going to convince you that L in our case is for Late Entry, because it suppose to be published yesterday...
Anyway, it is in our duty and we will do our best to convince you with this blogpost to reserve letter L exclusively for

Marcos Ortega, exquisitely dark and ominous producer from USA. After few first self-released projects, quickly spotted and promoted by Flying Lotus, one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists from United States right now. His music can be interpreted as a magical cluster floating somewhere far beyond evocative brutality and digital melancholy. Lorn is painting a sonical portraits of shadowy struggle of the daily routines but also arouses a dynamic universe of sentiments using deconstructed sounds hidden somewhere in the back of our minds, simply called as reminders of the past. Construction, deconstruction and reconstruction of feelings and emotions with slowbeat acid drills and atmospheric 8bit sounds are known as his trademark.

Raving Foxes had opportunity to attend at his live show twice, both times in Poland. I can honestly admit that it was an extremely rare opportunity, because he played only twice in Poland and Raving Foxes are not visiting this country so often anymore. First time was at Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival 2011, the same party where I had a life-changing experience during Amon Tobin ISAM live and second time at Up To Date Festival 2018 - one of the best and the most creative & innovative small festivals in Poland, receiving a lot of positive comments every year and already hyped few times on this blog. At both gigs Lorn showed completely different liveacts but at the both, emotionally overloaded shows he proved that artists related with Ninja Tune knows how to do the job. LAMB

British electronic music duo formed in 1996 by Andy Barlow and Louise Rhodes. They are known from their distinctive combination of trip hop, jazz, downtempo, ambients and dub sounds wrapped comfortably by warm vocals of Louise and served in good old drum and bass style. Following our tradition, in #a-zmusic challenge we couldn't publish anything related with ethereal and meditative underrated electronic which isn't coming from British Empire, one of the most artistically influential places in the whole universe 30 years ago. In Lamb's portfolio we can find 9 long play albums and more than 40 sigles and EPs, providing them a place among first division of trip-hop genre-shapers.

Lamb was also a grand-opening concert of mentioned above Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival 2011, honestly one of the most memorable gigs ever, awarded as Best Small European Festival. Their concert was planned for a Thursday night, 24h before the main part of festival started. Their liveact was surprisingly energetic and powerful, involving many live instruments, heavy drum banging and intensive synthesizers. Unexpected wall of sound provided by Lamb was just an introduction for two days with the biggest names and unexpected shows, like mentioned before Amon Tobin, Jacek Sienkiewicz, Mary Anne Hobbs, Boxcutter, Modeselektor or Jamie Woon.
