The movie "Destiny: The Tale of Kamakura" is the latest work by the well-known Japanese director Takashi Yamazaki.The film continues the beautiful style of the Japanese fantasy film and the imagination of the sky, and the story about life and death. Although the film tells the story of a shuttle between life and death, the director used a warm approach to make death faceable and able to tell. The whole film’s thoughts on death are quite similar to the “Coco (2017)”. The director uses the world of fairy tales to include serious life-and-death propositions, whether it’s the image of the underworld messenger in the film, or the way to play in the underworld journey. The beautiful scenery is full of rich positive elements, and the warmth of high saturation, in a fantasy atmosphere, which makes death less scary.
