Hi everyone! This is a great opportunity to introduce myself to you.
My name is Maricris M. Lapid. Growing up, I am used to be called as “ Krang “ ( yes, it’s very far from my original name ) by my family and closest friends. Being accustomed to it, I am more comfortable to be called in that name.
I am currently living in Anilao, Mabini Batangas together with my whole family for 2 years now. However I grew up originally in Quezon City, the only reason behind our relocation is due to COVID 19 pandemic because our family decided to go away from the city and to be able to unwind in the province of Batangas.
I started my senior high school year in Anselmo A. Sandoval Memorial National Highschool in Mabini Batangas taking up the STEM strand as an early preparation for my medical course in college. I am one of those who’s engaged in the Modular Learning System and I’m trying my best to sustain all the challenges it throws to serve as an experience to overcome.
There are interests and hobbies which I am really fond of doing just before the COVID 19 pandemic striked our place.
Since I was young, my parents were always reminding and teaching me to practice the sense of responsibility. I should learn to clean, cook, plant and do any other household chores as it serves as an important life skill. By that, I’ve learned doing the household chores as a hobby eversince, it’s a great advantage still because I inherited the good deeds from my parents. Usually on my vacant time, I’ll spend time cleaning the four corners of our home up to the extent that I can. I feel like when the surrounding’s clean, it’s a great relief and it’s the best time for relaxation.
On the other way around, I love singing eversince hence listening to various genres of music. Amongst all, I’m most inlove with soul music in which my parents are inclined too as well. I consider music as a stress reliever and pleasure in life. By being close to music, I never let the opportunity to pass without learning to play piano. So, I attended piano lessons for months wherein I learned to play few songs. My most favorite song to play is “ Oceans “ by Hillsong. Up until now, I’m still in the process of learning and discovering new.
My other pastime are watching movies and youtube vlogs.
On the other side of that, at such an early age I and my 4 sisters have been used to swim, whether in pool or sea areas. Due to that, I attended numerous swimming lessons in University of the Philippines in Diliman Quezon City to develop and build more of the skills in swimming.
Along that way, I learned Scuba Diving due to the influence of my father. It’s the beginning of my truest love for sport in which now I consider as a lifestyle. My father introduced it to me back when I was only 8 years old. Thus, being acquired and able to perform well on the skills, he certified me as Junior Open Water Diver on year 2011. I’m a certified scuba diver for almost 10 years now, and still achieving far more for the best level course.
Aside from Scuba Diving as a sport, I became a volleyball player back when I was on junior high school. I enjoyed it so much.
I find the two sports as exciting and interesting most especially Scuba Diving since it’s where I am most focused on today. The fun is not just while underwater, it influences my entire life.

A very interesting hobby. I also like music, I play a little guitar and learn the harmonica. Unfortunately, I am a bit afraid of water, although I would like to be able to dive.
