Those who dont know haejin, he is a reward pool rapist who posts 50 word spam articles, 10 to 20 times a day, so that he can upvote his content to make money on steemit, hence reward pool rapist.
Yesterday, i cam across this post from @allseeingewe that was resteemed by @lyndsaybowes -
Now, posts about haejin's bullying and douchebagggery are nothing new. In fact, given the uncensored approach of steemit, haejin is doing what many people would do on this platform. If something that leads to financial reward can be done on steemit, someone or the other will do it. However, having opinions about such actions is as legitamate as the act itself.
For history of haejin's flag wars, i would recommend that you read this post from @moeknows -
https://steemit.com/steemit/@moeknows/haejin-flag-war-timeline
Now yesterday, when i saw that post from allseeingewe, i decided to comment the following -
Duh, he will use starjuno, rancho and haejin power to downvote this also. He is not an ass but hole hidden behind stinky ass cheeks. Hats off to fulltimegeek, lyndsaybowes and others who are fighting this ass. Plenty of people have lost influence fighting his douchebaggery, kabeer88 and bernie. I cant wait for the day when he just leaves steemit out of shame, because at level 80, he is at highest level of cockiness.
After posting this, today i woke up to a bunch of flags, 11 to be precise, on my old posts -
And i wanted to write about this.
Haejin is abusing the platform. When you are at L80, and you've been paid to take dick in your ass from other whales like ranchorelaxo and also have a proxy account for downvoting others , starjuno, then you have enough voting power to make money upvoting your content. You can upvote using your own SP, the SP that has been delegated to you and downvote anything that brings truth out to people. And his self voting is nearly 90%. Lately he has been downvoting fulltimebot woth 100% voting power.
When i write negatively about him, its an opinion, that does not impact him financially. It takes in 50 words and all of 1 minute to make anything between 100 to 400 dollars. It has taken me 2 months to make 50 dollars. Using power, to prevent me from stating my opinion is abuse and bullying and should be stopped. I dont flag him because it really wont achieve a lot. At my level, the only power that i have is to say what i think, and i will continue to say it because downvotes dont prevent me from saying it. However, hurting me financially for stating something on post, because he disagrees with it what centralised systems do. Steemit isnt that and something needs to be done about it.
If user applications are manually verified on steemit, then so can user actions. Why is there a difference between the time period up untill when someone can be downvoted or upvoted. Because starjuno follows a simple strategy, go to posts that are nearing payouts, downvote them, so that they cant be upvoted. If one is looking for improvements on the platform, here are a few - dont allow downvotes after a point when actions cant be reversed. Or allow downvotes, but such downvotes shouldnt impact payouts.
I dont want to propose that users should be asked to leave or their actions censored. For a censorship resistant platform, haejin is allowed to rape the reward pool, i am allowed to comment about it and he should be allowed to downvote me, in case he doesnt agree with it. I could not find anything about flagging in the whitepaper or bluepaper but this is what pops up when i click on flag -
Now from this, i understand that he can downvote me if what i said was hateful speech or trolling, but then flag the post that trolled you.
There is plenty wrong with downvoting content just for the heck of it. @ned or @dan or whoever wants a suggestion to improve something about steemit - abusive downvotes need to be dealt with. Dictators do this and steemit isnt a dictatorial platform. If those with power and money can be allowed to do as they please, then we have plenty of social media platforms where such behavior exists. Steemit shouldn't be such a platform.
Edit: tagging @randohealer and @neutralizer
I've never really weighed in on this issue because even though I'm new here, I see the reality. Unless this behavior is programmatically stopped (at a code base level), this behavior, regardless of who does it, will be doing it. I see you acknowledged that in your post.
What that means for a newer person like myself is this: Unless my posting actually reaches an audience of some sort, it doesn't have the capacity to be upvoted. Not really. And then it needs to be upvoted by people who care and by people who have a lot of voting power in order to make a real difference in the pocketbook.
That's pretty discouraging.
I sat and did the math one day to see what it would take for me to actually purchase my way to being a "whale" here: --- it's not something I'm about to invest my money in.
Until that changes, this platform is pretty much a tinker toy.
Yes, you can "earn" for posting. Blah, blah, blah, blah.
I dunno. Maybe, it's just me, but I actually like to be read when I post. Otherwise, like I've said before, I can totally just keep writing in a diary. It might make me feel better to get something off my chest or to record something memorable for that day, but will it affect anyone else? Not until those words are actually read.
And I want what I write to affect people -- in a good way. In order for that to happen, it has to be actually seen.
Yeah i agree. The thing is, if i had to pay to promote my post, i can do it on any platform, may be once i have gained enough following, the payouts are better on this platform. I dont know because i havent yet found an audience that will upvote everything i post. And since i havent purchased steem and invested here, i am not in a position to complain.
Over time, i have found 10 people who read my posts. Which is ok for me. If in a year, i can have 50, even better. I am happy with that progress. But someone preventing me from doing it because they have a way to abuse the system is complete bs. As a new user, i have to work for every cent i make.
It will never be upvoted. The first post you make gets upvoted somehow and then everything will be covered under a pile of new posts. Which is why one has to interact with others, use other tools that support minnowse etc.
I had never thought of it that way but makes perfect sense. I can interact with the YouTubers who are posting here on Youtube. Most people on this platform willl blog elsewhere if they have to depend on a audience or care about having a large audience. Else collect SP, upvote yourself and you dont care whether this platform grows or not. Users dont need to come here. There are maybe 50 people who upvote comments on this platform, rest dont even care about those reading their posts. And unless, there is actual meaningful user growth, this platform is a great way for early adopters to keep receiving steem and cashing out, enjoy the party while it lasts.
The problem i have highlighted is genuine and will only increase as the platform grows bigger. Which is why i tagged the founders. At 46 level i have no voice, but its worth trying.
steemit is a playground for a little group of white boys that like bullying & blockchain. is there a founder that isn't? the fix is so easy: a single downvote should not wipe out what all the others want.
Well its stake based voting right now. And thus stake based flagging. The problem is how to prevent abuse of the stake. A single downvote can wipe out what others want but then people with large stake who see it at wrong should reverse the actions. That aspect is missing.
I tried upvoting your comment, but downvoted it by accident, then up and down and up and down and up and down --- it looks like it's up -- sorry! Wasn't trying to cause chaos.
No worries mate.
I've been saying the same thing for months. We need protocol level changes. Glad to see someone who realize the importance of such changes :-)
He is so pathetic. I can't even get 0.02$ for my post becouse I criticise him :)
I wonder if he does anything in his life except spamming his posts and downvoting everybody. I guess not...
what a grand fucking asshole. I now really wonder, what can be done to stop him. either i stop posting and he has nothing to downvote. or instead of receiving votes, i start asking for charitable steem donations.
@fulltimegeek love the fact that my article is coming in handy as a comment on haeijin's posts. Makes me really happy that i wrote it :) it may have been downvoted but it will be read, hopefully, for as long as haejin exists.
Hey nice work soaking up a @ranchorelaxo flag! You're awesome @karamyog <3 #TANKS-rule!!
Haha, thanks :) all the love has helped me stay strong. I wasnt sure if i will ever see daylight. I think i may.
My opinion only... The problem isn't that he is flagging you or raping the reward pool.
The problem is that large stake users are not helping to flag and taking the rewards off, nor are they helping the small users getting "abused".
If the larger accounts were dealing with this, it wouldn't be in the hands of the smaller accounts.
If it hurts the value of Steem they will be harmed the most. Personally, I decided it is a fight that I am not willing to fight.
Here is why... RanchoRelaxo can only allocate his own stake. When he upvotes Haejin, he is allocating his stake. Not mine or anyone elses.
I think this is part of the reason we see so few accounts in the fight.
I am not saying you shouldn't flag him, you can and I respect those using their stake to influence the site. I am just explaining there is another way to view the situation. It's a challenging issue.
I dont blame anyone anymore i guess, but wiping out my payouts for writing something was not fair. And i had no other way to fight than to write.
I'm not telling you what to do or not do. I've written about it, I've flagged and been flagged by his accounts also. I just am not going to fight a fight I can't win.
:) I'm not giving advice nor judging you. I was just sharing my perspective, not asking you to adopt it.
My conclusion was similar.
Thanks for the comment! I wasn't flagging him. If thats how the system has been designed, then haejin is doing things that are part of how the system is designed to be, he may be unethical. Some may disagree with his tactics amd rewards. I also disagree but i haven't been flagging.
I can see why a lot of people may not be participating and get your point. But helping small accounts whose payoffs are wiped out, is something big accounts should be looking into (a lot of big accounts came to my rescue but despite all the effort, it was not enough to absorb the whole rancho flag), may be the witnesses. I dont know reasons for it. But i didnt understand the rationale for allowing flagging till 12 hours after upvoting stops being allowed. May be there are ways to split downvote and flags. Downvote should be SP based but should not wipe out more than existing rewards on the post so that rep is not totally destroyed. And may be uv and dv should be shown separately.
Anyway, i think i got involved way too early for the time i have been here on steemit. Most new accounts will only follow H and keep commenting and upvoting because they see the rewards linked to that post. They will surely get influenced by the content, even if the payouts have been reduced by a group, the newbies will see only a number for votes. There is more wrong happening here, not just limited to someone delegating sp. But i get that large accounts cant worry about what individuals do or what decisions they make.
I suggest not to flag anybody and instead do make comments about what should be and what should not be. Flag is the source of negativity on the platform. That is my opinion.
Yeah, the whole idea here is to be able to express freely. The massive benefit of decentralization to me is that no one shut down my voice.
And so the reason that flag option be called off. Then we can have the arguments and counter arguments but not suppression

Thanks for the support @karamyog. It's too bad you got hit like that just for sharing your opinion. I, too, woke up to a flaming bag of donkeyshit on my doorstep.
(COPY/PASTY FROM MY POST)
Yep! You know that thing I said about having nothing to lose but the opportunity to "highlight how lame this creep is"? Turns out I was about $25 off.
One thing is for certain. I was very wrong about his power being brought under control. And here I thought that all the hard work @flagawhale (et al) has done to this point had actually had an impact on him. Boy, do I feel dumb!
@haejin went over to one of my totally unrelated posts and wiped out the payout in its last hours. I wonder why he'd do something like that... maybe it's because he's a total ass with zero sense of humor. That might be it.
Despicable!
