RE: I Should Be Writing About Gaining 1000 Followers - Instead I Have To Address A Bigger Issue

Thanks for your support, there are a lot of people tackling the issue right now - the issue is that we need to find a way to deal with attacks like this in the future, without going against the general themes of the platform.

It's not an easy solution, other companies could just ban accounts but we don't really want to do that here - but how do we punish those who act in such a manner?

It's such a hard problem to solve. Any solution I can think of is problematic. Even community mute lists could be use nefariously.

Is it naive of me to think that these people will soon lose interest or otherwise grow up? But, (I argue with myself) what if every time a user matures, we get a new user who is yet immature?

I think a platform that sacrificed anonymity would have more options for quelling this type of behavior. I want a platform in which no person is anonymous, but I also want a platform in which every person is anonymous - so I'm torn.
