I'm as puzzled as you are by that transfer from @upvforlife. I'm assuming it was an error as I didn't upvote the contest. I downvoted it and then removed the downvote when @honolulu agreed to end his giveaways, which may have caused confusion and error in his payout system.
I agree Steem has a lot of problems, but I don't have either the time or the SP to solve all of them. I upvote the good content I see, downvote what I think is destructive, and follow up on both as I can. I have no delusions of being able to singlehandedly address all the issues, but I try to do my part and hope that others will do the same.
Also, that's a lot of text. I read it all, but if you work on being a bit more concise I think you'll be more effective at communicating with people in the future.
