I'd like to hear how it's being done, what works and what doesn't. I have a rental apartment and I'd like to accept bitcoin, litecoin, or ethereum. I am trying to figure out what the best policy for this might be. Hoping the Steemit community might provide useful feedback. The goal for crypto of course is to use it!
For example:
- Rent is due by the 1st of the month regardless if fiat or crypto is used.
- If crypto is used, landlord (me) is not responsible for any transmission errors that prevent confirmed receipt of the currency
- Renter is responsible for transaction fees.
- Landlord (me) reserves the right to refuse crypto as rent payment at any time.
- Currency valuation shall be based on the price published on Coinmarketcap as of transaction time.
- Landlord shall confirm receipt of the crypto within 24 hours
- Renter shall not be entitled to any refund, and landlord shall not be entitled to any make-up payment due to currency value fluctuation within 24 hours before and after the transaction is made.
**** Should using Lightning Network be a requirement?
****Should I only accept crypto via service such as Abra?
Thank you all in advance!!
