In this park, there is a unique building called "Gunongan", made to resemble the hill-Bukau located in Pahang, Malaysia. The building was made at the request of the Empress, who always yearns for her hometown on the hilly Pahang.
In the gunongan, there is a small dome-shaped "Door-Khop" (Door Tunnel) which is the door that connects the garden with the palace. This "Pinto Khop" is the resting place of Princess Phang, after a tired swim, not far from "Gunongan", where women wetting the queen's hair. There is also a pool to wash and flower bath.
So the story of the establishment of this Putroe Phang park by Sultan Iskandar Muda
