Throughout 2019, the Government of Aceh has built 4,006 aid houses from a target of 5,000 livable homes for underprivileged families throughout Aceh.

"This year another 5,700 housing units will be built, until the end of the year the total can reach 10,000 housing units," said Nova Iriansyah, Acting Governor of Aceh in a written statement Tuesday (02/21/2020).
Nova along with a number of other officials are on a working visit to several regions of Aceh to see the development progress. In the visit, the Government of Aceh joined in symbolically surrendering the house to two recipients, in the District of Badar, Southeast Aceh, Monday (1/20).

To one of the recipients named Sori Alias Sigalinging, the Acting Governor of Aceh reminded him to maintain the existing house. Sori while shedding tears expressed her gratitude to the Government of Aceh. "Alhamdulillah, although it was delayed in 2018 due to various technical obstacles, in 2019 it could be implemented with the ekatalog system," Nova said.

According to Nova, the construction of livable houses helped reduce poverty in the September 2019 period, because one of the calculations was the problem of the needs of non-food communities including housing needs.

On the occasion, Nova also said that criticism related to the achievement of poverty reduction in Aceh became a motivation to work even better in 2020. "The poverty rate will only continue to be criticized, especially if it goes up. For this reason, we will work better this year. , "Nova said.

"2020 will also be implemented to accelerate the construction of livable homes again," said Nova.
Previously, the Aceh Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released the poverty rate in Aceh per September 2019 decreased by 9 thousand people compared to March 2019. This decline was the highest number seven in Indonesia. Nevertheless, Aceh still occupies the poorest province in Sumatra and is number six in Indonesia, with a poor population of 810 thousand people.

This irrigation is claimed to be able to flow through 7,500 ha of paddy fields, built with a budget of around 7.5 billion. "This is a small step we take to reduce poverty because one measure of poverty is the availability of food, especially rice," Nova said.

It also inaugurated the Ketambe Tourism location, the inauguration of the Rema bridge, and the Temangar bridge in Gayo lues, the surrender of Raib Gaib Happable Houses, Central Aceh Disaster Logistics Warehouse, Central Aceh Samsat Building, and Bebesen Dwelling Houses, Central Aceh.
