After centuries of past events left a big question mark which then became a mystery that has always been hanging and unresolved to date, in Aceh itself there are 5 great mysteries that have never been able to be expressed the certainty either from researchers or from historians who have studied it.
Here are 5 mysteries that we have embraced :

1.The Sniper who killed the Dutch General, Johan Harmen Rudolf Köhler

The dubious and brave daring Dutch general named Johan Harmen Rudolf Köhler was sent to invade and rule Aceh in the first Aceh war of 1873. Aceh refusing to cooperate with the Dutch was offended and intended to conquer Aceh by means of colonization. This is the first Dutch invasion of aceh with the end of kohler killing by sniper shot right in front of the mosque of Baiturrahman highway.

However, until now still a great mystery sniper ready to kill the Dutch general? Even the name of this sniper was never mentioned by any literature.

2.Lamreh Site

Site filled with the tombs of royal aceh kingdom past was found in Lamreh hill a hilly area located in District Mesjid Raya Aceh Besar. Lamreh is a hilly area composed of karst rocks and never suitable for settlement especially for agricultural land but in this location found many relics, especially old graves. And the most noteworthy is the remains of Plakpling tombstones. The distribution of tombstones on this Lamreh Site tends to be scattered and not well organized. The points of the tombstone stone distribution has several types of Nisan with various forms of ornaments.

With the existence of ancient graves, there are many questions, especially researchers and historical activists on lamreh sites, many of whom consider lamreh sites to be Bandar and metropolitan cities, but many reject the statement because there is no historical record that mentions lamreh as a port city. Even some of the researchers assume lamreh once stood the old empire, but nothing can prove to date, the great mystery still envelops the existence of the lamreh site.

4.The mosque stood firm while other buildings were destroyed in the tsunami.

When there is a tsunami in Aceh, many weirdness and mystery can not be logical but need a spiritual approach. One of them is the resilience of the mosque of the coast which stood firm and strong despite all the buildings around it destroyed and destroyed by tsunami waves. This mystery is then responded to based on the faith of each and we always believe that there are some things that sometimes are not adequately analyzed by logic alone.
