This is one of the old mosques I met in the Kembang Tanjung area, Pidi district, Aceh.
Like most old mosques in Aceh it has a pyramid roof topped with four main pillars. On each panel the wooden roof staircase is beautifully carved with typical Acehese flavors.
Unfortunately this mosque is now threatened and no longer there are activities in it. Because the new mosque with cement and stone material built beside it to replace the position of this mosque. Hopefully there are parties who want to restore and beautify this old mosque. So that our children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy the artwork of their ancestors.
