Culinary In Aceh : Flying Bread

Hi .. steemian community around the world. Today my trip will introduce one of the favorite foods of tourists visiting Aceh-Indonesia. And I hope that the steemans wherever you are for the year 2018 can put Aceh on your family vacation list this year

I do not know the origin of this bread, but certainly this circular bread has a long history with different names in different countries. In European countries this food is known as Flying Bread, while Aceh-Indonesia bread is called by the name of Roti Canai or Cane, almost the same as India which named the Cane bread because it comes from Chennai (Madras, India). In other countries this bread is named Palata (Myanmar), or Farata (Mauritius), Prata (Malaysia, Singapore).

Flying bread is very much found in Aceh, ranging from rural to urban. In every coffee shop you will meet the merchant owner Martabak Telor, egg omelette seller using the basic bread rolls / bread bread to make omelette or we give the name of Aceh Martabak Telor. You can order cane bread without watering eggs. The picture above is one variant of canai bread.

One of the most preferred places for culinary lovers visiting Banda Aceh City - Aceh - Indonesia is Canai Mamak shop in Banda Aceh, a very strategic place also variant of Malay food is also available.
Chinese people from overseas or those already living in Aceh are very favorite places. they called this bread bread or bread cane with the name Yin Du Jiang Bing which means Indian baked flour
