Yesterday at the 10K run I used the opportunity to do the Cooper running test.

It's about measuring the distance you've covered in 12 minutes on a flat track. My GPS tracker Endomondo measured 1.78 km for this time, which is average for my age group.

Obviously there are no other ratings for people 60+, 70+ or even 80+, whereas nowadays even 100 year old people run half marathons.

After this running test I had to take a short break, because at this speed I would not have been able to complete the 10 km.

My average heart rate was already quite high with 160 beats and sometimes went up to 175 beats.


Beim 10K Lauf gestern hab ich die Gelegenheit genutzt den Cooper Lauftest zu machen.

Es geht dabei darum, dass man bei vollem Einsatz in 12 Minuten bei ebener Wegstrecke die zurückgelegte Distanz misst. Mein GPS Tracker Endomondo hatfür diese Zeit 1,78 km gemessen, was für meine Altersklasse durchschnittlich ist.

Offenbar gibt es keine anderen Bewertungen für Menschen 60+, 70+ oder gar 80+, wobei heutzutage auch noch 100jährige Menschen Halbmarathons laufen.

Nach diesem Lauftest musste ich kurz eine Pause einlegen, denn in diesem Tempo wäre es mir nicht möglich gewesen die 10 km durchzustehen.

Meine durchschnittliche Herzfrequenz war mit 160 Schlägen schon recht hoch und ging teilweise bis 175 Schläge.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I am just a beginner in running. I actually hated it my whole life, but it is very good for my health and fitness. So, I am going to stick to it.

Es ist sehr anstrengend, lieber Max, wobei ich - glaube ich - noch nicht alles gegeben hab, da ich ja wusste, dass ich nach einer Pause noch weiterlaufen würde.

Mach mal bitte auch diesen Test, es wäre bestimmt interessant, wie weit du in 12 Minuten kommst. Ich schätze so um die 2,5 km und mehr.
