I spent about a year there, came back a short time later and spent almost another year, so I've been to many places there mostly north of Bologna. Yet I did visit a friend in Medical school in Bologna once.
I've been to Venezia for a couple of days with two young American girls I met changing trains in Verona :>) I was young then 'too'...so my plans easily got changed by pretty faces.
My father was from Sicily.

So, two years in Italy it's enough time to understand something of this crazy and beautiful country.
