That's about 130 km west from me and 10 km east from my parents.

On workdays its a plus I have to get layered up so I get out, on Off days or telecommute days finding the motivation is such a struggle for me at the moment as I acclimatize to the cold I will get better i am sure and after thanksgiving all he festive trees and windows will be opening up and its a tradition for me to get and see and shoot shots of them each year

I know Thanksgiving only from TV, where the families come together and eat a turkey. Do you have a turkey on Thanksgiving?
Wikipedia says, after Thanksgiving the people begin with Christmas decoration. Do you also light your house?

We spend thanksgiving with my wifes son and his family and his wifes family, and yes complete with Turkey, I am not that big of a fan of Turkey so I have a little, but the Daughter in laws sister always does a great Meatball dish that I love,
and yes tradition has it to start the decorations after Thanksgiving, I know the tree will be up in there house already, we have a little tree we will most likely put up when we get back from visiting them, with it just being the two of us we do not do much these days

We don't have such family meetings here, where the whole family comes together, but it would be nice sometimes.
If it was my decision we would also have a small tree or maybe even no tree, but our kids are only 17 and they want a tree as well as my wife does. So we have a midsized one which doesn't take much space in the apartment ;)
I love Meatballs too - with a delicious sauce and mashed potatoes 🙂

I think a big tree that takes up so much room is !DERANGED unless you have a huge house my wife seems to have forgotten about the tree so far this year I kind of hope it stays that way lol

It's just wasted time and space to me, but it looks more like Christmas then, my wife says 🙂
