RE: Make your Actifit Posts COME ALIVE!

in #actifitlast month

I happened to come across your article. You're right. But your truth has two flaws.

Many Hive users try to get valuations with the least possible effort. Nowhere is it stipulated that a long and interesting article gets a higher rating than a single photo with one sentence.

And then there's typing on a mobile phone. If I wanted to write long articles, I'd have to open a short report from my cell phone on a desktop PC. It's just that there's a lag time between Actifit's report and editing it on the PC, during which time someone looks at your article. By the time you edit it, it'll be old and uninteresting.

Trust me, you're preaching to the converted. I've been here since the Steemit days back in 2016, so I know. God knows I (and others) have published well-researched posts ending up with almost no upvotes or comments, only to see someone upload 5 pics of a bowl of soup they made get upvoted to $40.00. It happens, but we're still here because wen care about Hive and want to see it thrive.

Back when I created Actifit posts, I'd sometimes use mobile, but would also take my photos during my walk and then write a post on my laptop.

You don't have ton write War and Peace to create an interesting Actifit post. This article is for the people who actually care about the platform as I do and know that people can do better than posting one blurry photo of the ham sandwich they ate while on the treadmill.

My concern even back then was that Actifit might become known as a place for low-effort spammy posts, and that's what we're seeing now. So to those who care about Hive/Actifit I celebrate their efforts to share interesting posts that uplift and inspire both the reader and the platform.
