My Actifit Report Card: June 13 2019

in #actifit6 years ago

It was cooler today and so I played at both disc golf courses and rode my ebike.

This morning I played at the more technical eighteen basket course. I was up at a plus six after the first ten baskets and decided it was time to leave and head home.

There were a lot of people on the course and some of them were just hanging out on or near the baskets and tee pads. I was out of one dollar bills after having given away my last one.

I've been kind of shanking some of my throws lately so I figured it was better if I headed out because I didn't want to hit someone and I was worried about Dog-oh locking himself outside of the door door again. When your game is off it is pretty easy to start worrying about bad throws and that is usually when they happen. There's really a big mental aspect to the game for me.

In the evening I played a full nine baskets but it was a bit breezy. My ebike was blown over by the time I got back to it.

The round started pretty good with a birdie on the first basket but there was someone in the middle of the field eating dinner with their headphones in. They were not in range of my throws for the first couple of baskets unless I really overthrew the first basket.

On the third basket I was in a bit of a pickle. I knew they had their headphones on and if things went wrong there was no way of warning them of a possible hit by a disc. Overthrowing the other way would fly towards the road or houses. So I just eased some throws up the field playing around them and when I was done they got up and left. I thought about playing the basket over again but decided to move on.

Things were going pretty good up until one of the longer throws where there was a little ankle biting dog yapping at me and guarding the tee pad. Nobody else was around. I just talked to the dog nicely and it backed away long enough to let me shank a shot out of bounds across the roadway.

By the time I was done I ended up with a plus five for the course. I could see the dog being walked back from the park by its owners. So at least the dog was safe.

Timing on things is interesting. Five minutes slower and person might not have been there or five minutes faster and dog might not have been there.

Usually I just like to walk up to the tee thinking about what I'm going to throw and how to throw it. I do a little movement to setup what angle I will release on and then throw it. I don't like to break too far from the timing of it.

Rushing to throw when I see cars approaching its hard for me. Waiting for things for traffic to clear can be tough too.

Sometimes I try to play through all the little distractions like people yelling, cars honking, dogs barking, etc. Maybe it would be better if I just stopped for a bit and waited more.

It is a lot of fun for me to try to improve.

Here's some pictures of daisies that were growing wild in a field along the bike path:

Have a nice day brother.... Good luck n succes always for you

Thank you and have a nice day too! :)

Yeah I always found bowling or baseball to be mental as well. I know I would not want to hit someone. With my luck it would bust their lip and they would be bleeding everywhere!!! I think it is good practice to stay away from them.

I had discs land real close to me that others have thrown. Usually you stay on your toes and listen for someone yelling, "four." I think everyone avoids having a throw go towards another person but sometimes things do happen especially in windy conditions.

Wow wonderful plant and great photography.

Nice step and the flower look beautiful

Great review @lightsplasher, you played a lot of golf today and it's great! In addition, you made a very beautiful photos of daisies, well done!

Beautiful blooming flowers and a nice count. Kudos.

Such a beautiful field of daisies I dont play disc golf but I think distractions of people or dogs would affect my concentration as well

Good work bro go ahead

There are days like that for all of us. Sometimes we need to throw away expectation and helps some. The daisies were lovely:)
