Happy #NeedleWorkMonday lovely people!
I have heard of St. Patrick's Day but do not know what is the celebration about and after checking the web, most of the crochet patterns revolves around the colour green and luck symbols such as the cute 3-leaf or 4-leaf clover, or the shamrock.
I decided to work on a simple project that I can use and I found this cute shamrock pattern:

The pattern starts with a magic circle and working Ch2, 3HDCs, 3DCs, ch1, sl st 1, 3DCs, 3HDCs into the magic circle to form the heart shaped leaf...
... and joined by a slip stitch:
When the magic circle is tightened, we will see the cute heart shape:
And after working 3 heart shaped part of the leaf, we join them by stitching them at the sides following the pattern:
The tails that were left were then braided:
And I am now using my new bookmark ☘ :

My Actifit Today: March 4 2019
A good walk to the office from the carpark and back plus lunch in between. I met up with a friend at work and another friend from uni. We tried non dairy ice cream which was yummers. 
Love it! I love how it is braided too at the end. Braids have a significant meaning to them so it adds to the effect of your bookmark. Well done! And useful :p

This shamrock bookmark is very pretty! I love those light pretty colors and the pretty braid at the end! Very nice and functional project! Thanks for sharing the pattern too!

What a cute and creative idea, though the thickness might dent the book? But I think it will be a wonderful key chain as well ^_^.
Hehe thank you @scrawly! It is a thin yarn, won’t dent the book. Just need to make sure the knot stays outside. Oo yes, keychain js a good idea.

Very cute design and practical! It looks like you are using a small needle, I haven't tried crocheting with those yet. My hands don't work like I want sometimes.
Thank you @watchfulmomma! Ah yes, it is a 3/0 & 4/0 needle for the yarn thickness. Don't stress your fingers. Just work with what you are comfortable in :)
