I like to get some clarification on this
posts with payouts less than 1 SBD will have a lower pool,
does that mean if I upvote a post that will have less payout with let's say a 20% vote, the reward will be less than a 20% vote on a post with a higher payout?
So far, my strategy has been to seek out posts with no votes or hardly any to give them a boost. If I understand this as stated above, it would be bad for me...

No that would not be bad for you at all. The less upvotes are on a post that you upvoted, and the larger share of Steem influence you have in your post (meaning you being among the early and/or top upvoter/curator), the larger amount of AFIT tokens you will receive!
If the post's upvote value gets it to 1 SBD before Actifit starts upvoting, the share of tokens to be distributed will be 20 AFIT tokens.
If it was 0.5 SBD, then 10 tokens will be shared among upvoters.
okay. That is good to know. Thank you for explaining. There are so many contests and initiatives out there that favor the ones who already have lots of connections. I always stay away from contests that ask that you get the most upvotes and such because a newbie is never going to win even though their content might be much better...
