Here I thought #hive was a safe and fun place to be 
I signed up in Jan 2022, yeah it's been a year, I have not been active at all mostly because I was uninformed of the workings of Hive Blockchain so felt somewhat intimidated. That was until I received an email from #ctp of their Hive Guide earlier this year.
I jumped right in! The Hive Guide showed me this platform is not so complex and the potential was enormous. Great guide guys jongolson and blainjones, it lifted some of my blocks I had. I have since been using Ecency as my main go to, particularly active in the Actifit and now Strava2Hive communities.
Now here starts my "Naiveness". 2 days ago I was #downvoted by a user, who in the meantime has apologize for this error (you can see this post here: https://ecency.com/hive-193552/@sandralopes/downvoted-why?referral=sandralopes). On this thread two users joined in the comments. ( see images )
I have not replied to the 1st user as I felt threatened where he insinuates
He was given a chance to rectify the situation and chose not to. It's your choice to base your opinions on one side of the story, but supporting users like this may not work out so well.
But I #downvoted his comment along with the other comment.
And the this happens!
Now whether I was being biased or not does not call for this negative activity that I am a Victim of. Why #downvote my posts? Are they trying to prove a point by exerting their authority! Hell most of those downvotes came from accounts that don't have a high following or posts!
To me it feels like bullying and that is the ugly truth of what I'm feeling at this moment.
So what do I do?
Run?
Or
Do I stay and hope that someone or an official authority of the #hive block investigates this type of behavior?
#TLDR: User complains about downvoting then downvotes people and is now complaining about being downvoted in response.
The longer version
There is no official authority on hive. Each individual is free to act as they please and the community (of individuals) is free to act in response to that. Or not at all.
I answered your comment as you seemed puzzled as to what is going on and by reading Simone's war post assumed that he was being bullied and looked to be taking his side. Which of course, you are free to do.
I don't see the comment from Galen above as being threatening. More of a warning there was more to this than you had read. However, there are actions you can take if you feel you are being threatened such as muting a user.
Unfortunately, you choose to downvote and now you are complaining about being downvoted in return?

Yeah! Downvote a "few" that downvote me but you know what I just left it! I'm not going to stoop down to your level and if there is no "oficial" authority that polices this type of behavior then that means I am doomed here. All because of a "error"!

People who get upset by downvotes don't usually downvote others for their tone as downvoting has the potential to upset others and can lead to an ever-descending spiral of retaliation.
Still, I haven't downvoted you for yours. Probably won't either.
If it is ok with you we can call it quits here as I have no interest in this conversation. I am sure you don't either.
But if you include me in your posts I will respond. It is only fair.

Stay out of this as it's not your war. You got in the middle of something without knowing what's really going on. You don't have to run, no one is chasing you away. Focus on improving your content and growing, instead of siding with an abuser.

Thank you for this. If it looks like I sided with anyone it was not my intention. I gave my opinion with what I had in front of me.
And yeah it seems like I got dragged into a "war" that is no kine but the treatment I've been receiving is so unjustified. My initial reflex was to downvote everyone but I stop after a couple. This is not my nature. I am not like this.
As for staying, I don't know anymore.

I read your post now @sandralopes and I suggest to you what Erikah said. Don't downvote other ones and stay safe. The ones you mentioned in the post (the series of downvotes in the screenshots) are downvotes trial I usually receive too. I have to keep on the situation because I don't have any other way: I started receiving downvotes basing on the personal policy to consider a translation of a post a duplicate (so, or I don't publish the translation, or I have to renounce to all the possible rewards). This is unacceptable for me, because I spend my time and resources to create a content and to submit it on Hive, and there is not any rule about this I had to know; so, I started receiving downvotes that taken to zero the whole value of all my posts. There isn't a way to solve the situation, without starting following their policy, so the downvotes are continuing, and I stopped posting (except for Actifit because the app doesn't allow this possibility at the moment). But if you have a choice, don't risk your presence here.
The only important point is: remember!
Here on Hive, there are users with a personal policy about everything, and there are users that, if you don't accept sharing their policy, will downvote you with all or part of the power they have. I consider these users criminals, anything else, and I explained in my complaint post "why".
