By far the biggest mistake that noobs make is playing too many hands. Newbies typically play more than half the hands they’re dealt. Something in the range of 15 to maybe 20% is a good goal.
There are a gazillion subtleties to learn along the way, but starting hand selection is the foundation to build on.
I had the same problem learning to buy crypto. I'd rush at it, and then retreat. I've settled down :)
